“Awesome”
Reviewed August 1, 2014 via mobile

Went out late on a Friday night. Seated right away, our drinks took time but were tasty (but a little weak). Food was quick and delicious. Only complaint was that it was extremely hot & humid inside. Made it a little difficult to fully enjoy food. Loved the lemongrass chicken. Yum!

“Great Dinner Date Place”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

Excellent interesting food served in a relaxed but efficient manner.
Soups and apps are always delicious.
I have been here five or six times with my wife.
Like dining in an old fashioned house wit huge fireplace.
Main meals are priced reasonably.
We leave each time saying glad we came.

“shoreline thai”
Reviewed May 17, 2014

Disclaimer: this review is based on takeout, perhaps the popularity of this restaurant is based on the atmosphere and staff. I am always leery when Thai food is served with lemon and not lime, my first clue. The "pho" was greasy mystery meat, broth, overcooked noodles and a few fried basil leaves. The pad thai had the same greasy mouth feel, mushy noodles, shrimp and not much else. The spring rolls were the best of the order, reminded me of Chinese dumplings in wrappers and fried. The dipping sauce had a nice rice wine bite. Way overpriced. Another pseudo restaurant for the summer crowd, At least it is charming to drive by on the way home.

“Consistently delicious Asian food”
Reviewed May 16, 2014

The setting is a little odd: Saigon City is situated in a two hundred year old Colonial house that is loaded with non-Asian charm. The service is impeccable and pleasant. Drinks, wine, and beer are all good. The menu has very good Vietnamese and Thai food--solid pad thai, very good curries, some excellent seafood. All in all Saigon City is a very satisfying Asian restaurant.

“really good food, really kitschy decor”
Reviewed April 8, 2014

Had a terrific dinner here. All of the food was great. Strange decor: colonial house with shabby kitschy decor.
