The best Italian Food in the shoreline area. The place is family owned and operated with top notch food quality. A big secret is their lunch menu which is reasonably priced and the food is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Tiberio's on Rte 1 (north of exit 66) (in Old Saybrook, not Westbrook) is the best restaurant around - genuine Italian (as opposed to CT version) handmade pastas, great seafoods and meats, in an unpretentious friendly storefront, with white tablecloths. Run by young couple - Italian chef and his American wife. Bread is to die for, comes with fragrant herbed whipped butter, a tomato based spread, or olive oil, as choices. Dinner only, unfortunately. I've been here all summer this year, and this is by far the best restaurant in this area.

Tiberio's is tucked into a strip mall and is easy to miss but I would say find it!! One of the best Italian restaurants on the shoreline! Antonio is a phenomenal chef. I have been back several times and it is always consistent from the chilled salads to the fresh delicious bread with 3 different spreads, the antipasto is a real treat for 2! He has veal, chicken, seafood, beef and pasta so something for everyone. Do not drive by this amazing restaurant!!
