Still love the view, but.......
1. Invest in some fans for the outside deck. Dinner was sweltering- 90's- and the first table the hostess offers us is in the sun! And the seven of us include two young boys and a toddler.....and the place is empty!
2. Avoid the lobster roll at all costs! A hot lobster roll is DISGUSTING.......and dry.
3. Teach the host/hostess to actually smile and make your guests feel welcome. (Our waitress, however, was terrific.)

Not sure what's going on here, but it has clearly slipped since last year. Not sure we'll return.

Band too loud for us to enjoy outdoor dining with family. More of a pick up joint with great views and a band in the bar and patio. We talk to our kids so indoors was better for us. Cute decor. Nice waitstaff with good attitude. Mussels worth breaking a diet for with foccacia for dipping. Highly recommend, needs more herbs. HERBS! Please. 16 oz steak nicely delivered and teens appreciated. Lobster salad ok, special salmon on greens not very special, salmon cooked perfectly, crust had no flavor/ Salmon on menu too much seasoning. Happy overall. Single and on the hunt, may be back, otherwise, looking for better food.

We waited a long time to even have a waiter notice we were there and we were a table of 7. It was at least 1 1/2 hours until our food came. Ahi tuna was ok. Pork Chops were very good and reasonably priced. Drinks were a healthy pour. Prices were excellent

We've gone to the Back Porch for years and have enjoyed it but our first trip there this summer was abysmal. The service was stupendously rotten: no bread; they forgot the calamari appetizer and the brought it--cold and greasy--in the middle of the meal; the lobsters were served without the cracking tools needed to open them and by the time they finally brought them after we flagged someone down, the lobsters were cold; there were no little forks to dig out the lobster meat ("Sorry-we ran out of them--it seems they get thrown out when the dishes are cleaned" was the excuse, but come on--they've been open for two months already this season; (and did you ever try to eat a lobster without those little forks--it's difficult); I'm glad the waiter came back to double check our wine order--we had ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio and he was thoughtful enough to ask which Merlot we had ordered. Okay--that was the bad service. Now for the food and drink--a Seabreeze was overpriced and undersized; the chicken fingers were flavorless, the calamari was cold and greasy, and the lobster roll was utterly plain and very overpriced. All in all The Back Porch was a huge disappointment--the decline in quality and service is enormous. At least the view is still pretty but this place is probably not worth a visit anymore.
