Lots to do, but premium price. We had a coupon from the internet, but it really didn't save as much as we thought. Its a bigger property than we thought, so we started by walking the outdoor trails. When they say life size dino's, they aren't kidding. And lots of them with little info boards to go with them, with enough interesting info to keep both kids and adults interested.
The splashzone is claimed to be the largest in New England. Not sure they have visited Six Flags recently, but it was a nice park to cool off in.
Whole family loved the maze. Not huge, but fun. There is an observation overlook, so we took turns and timed each other.
The indoor activities were fun. The Bone Zone is better for younger kids, maybe under 10, the panning for gold and mining for gems was alot of fun and you keep what you find.
You could also buy geodes that haven't been split yet. So we picked three and loved the outcome. Each is one of a kind, so it was nice to pick it, have them slice it in half and they hand it to you to discover the mystery inside! And the older gentleman running it, Roger, was awesome, very funny and entertaining.
Lots of neat items in the gift shop. Like I say, its expensive as they charge the same price from 2-49 years old. But if you have children 4-12ish, I highly recommend it!

I have two daugters 5 and 7 and they had SO much fun here. We got there right when they opened and walked the loop with the dinosaurs. Then, the maze for 20 minutes (5 times) and the spray park. The girls had a great time. Then, we went inside, had lunch, and did the mining and panning for gold activities. My girls had so much fun. Ice cream and then back to Mystic. We were there for 4 hours! It was so well set up, fun, educational and just great. This was our second visit and we will be back!

We visit every year while visiting my parents. My two boys LOVE it. We raced around the walking path trying to see who would spot the next life sized dinosaur. The statues are well done, and the kids like the little houses where you get to feel teeth and bones etc. We waited and watched for the volcano eruption. The playground is very nice, the snack bar is decent (dino nuggets of course), and the splashpad is fantastic for water play. I have only two complaints: one is I'd like to see water fountains around so that I could refill everyone's water bottles on a hot day, the other is the price. It is expensive for a couple of hours of, granted, very fun activities. We didn't even go to the inside portion with all the little activities, panning for gold, digging for gems, sand art, etc. I would've expected each activity to cost $2, not $10-15! Frankly, if I lived closer, we would probably buy a season pass, but for a once a summer activity, yikes!

Went to Dinosaur Place with two families with a total of 4 kids (ages 3-5). Walking on the trails and viewing the dinosaurs and learning about them was fun for all. Playgrounds were nice. Splashpad was a HUGE hit on a hot day, not overcrowded at all (Sunday was much better than previous visit on a weekday with summer camp groups causing overcrowding). We had a great time but the $80 pricetag for 3 hours of fun was much too big considering the parents really just are there to supervise the little ones. Lower the price tag and we would return many more times ($18.99 for each family member 3 and up!) in the season. Due to the cost, we won't be back again this season.

Fun for the kids! They have outdoor water activities during the spring and summer. Fun to look around inside at all the rocks, gems, jewlery etc.
