“Pretty much the heart of Norwalk”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

SoNo, the heart of Norwalk, is filled with a variety of restaurants and bars, and now a couple of nightclubs. Historic SoNo also has quite a few petite boutique shops (not too cheap, but they give SoNo its own character).

Once a year, usually in August, the SoNo Art Festival is a must see, if you live nearby. Other events also randomly keep happening, usually in summer.

If you're tempted to try out the pricier restaurants, you can eat out during SoNo Restaurant week (happens twice or thrice a year)

“Lots of restaurants and not all that much for kids to do”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

Pretty place to go, especially in the summer. Walked around, went to Maritime Aquarium, had some beer. Not a lot to keep kids occupied other than the Aquarium. Paying for parking was a surprise, but it wasn't that expensive, so all in all is a nice day trip.

“Small but nice to walk around.”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

We took a walk after visiting the aquarium. It was nice, but not much there. There are however a nice amount of restaurants to visit for lunch. I especially enjoyed the coffeehouses there.

“cute and not cheap”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

This area used to be the "bad" part of town but Norwalk has transformed it into a very preppy place. Many shops and restaurants and over the summer it hosts several fairs and events. Walking distance from the Maritime center

“I hope you carry.”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

Nice area if your idea of an ideal place is to get jacked by every bar, restaurant, etc. that you step into. Then when you step out, the town is crawling with criminals that would be happy to excuse you of your valuables. Good luck. The only thing I have nice to say, is that there is a decent leather boot, jacket and accessory store there.
