We went to the Banc House because we were out late and wanted food when most everybody else was closed. It was a great find. It was our first time there so the waitress explained the menu to us and helped us order. The food was delicious, especially the corn bread skillet with caramel butter. The ribs fell off the bone, and had a nice flavor enhanced by the sauce left at the table. we are anxious to go back for more.

We had a party of 13 which included 3 kids under 7, and the table that they reserved for us was perfect (T shaped) and ready for us on a Saturday night. Our waiter was patient and accommodating and handled the kids needs with ease. The beer selection was excellent and our waiter made some great recommendations and suggestions for the brews. We had both the barbecue dishes as well as some seafood, and it was all good. The sandwich selection was excellent and affordable for those that didn't want a full entree. The best part was the crowd, and it looked like all ages in parties of 2 to 14. Everyone was friendly and their was no issues or stares when the kids get a little antsy toward the end. They also have an excellent Bourbon selection (and flights) which I did not try, and I did not see the full bar menu in the restaurant area. Excellent food with fair prices along with great service. Will definitely go back next time we are in Norwalk, CT.

We returned to Banc House after a number of years and were delighted to find a warm, friendly atmosphere with an excellent kitchen. Cobb salad was generous and fresh. BBQ offerings could be had as platters or sides: We enjoyed a half pound of delicious brisket and perfectly made sweet potato fries. Look forward to returning.

A group of about 25 people celebrated my birthday at the BanC House today. It was a great celebration with great food and even better service! With less than an hour's notice, they had a table ready for us, and our server, Nicole, was amazing! She not only served us with grace and excellence, but made paying our checks a breeze! About the food--first, make sure you get the cornbread! I've had cornbread all over the South, and the BanC House's tops them all. THEN they add a caramel sauce to drizzle over it, and oh my! Is it amazing! There were so many of us, most of what was on the menu was ordered, and everyone enjoyed what they had. I had the brisket with charred broccoli and mashed sweet potatoes. Delicious lunch and enough for lunch the next day. Then I topped it off with the homemade chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches. Need I say more? Bring your group or party to this place! You'll be glad you did!
