Basso Cafe is a great new restaurant in the Broad River section of Norwalk serving Mediterranean Latin American fusion cuisine. The food is to die for, and the continuously updated menu offers dishes like lamb two ways over parmesan risotto, gnocchi with mushrooms, onions, and white truffle oil, chicken or beef empanadas, tuscan grilled chicken over mashed potatoes and curried zucchini, or a lively seafood capellini. Be sure to save room for dessert, like the sweet and tart passion fruit mousse, decadent coconut flan, or the phenomenal tres leches. i have been to this restaurant several times and thoroughly enjoy each visit, with a warm welcome from the upbeat staff in a casual yet elegant atmosphere.
