Coming from western MA, Mystic KOA is the perfect place for us to kick off the 2013 camping season over the Memorial Day weekend. It is a short haul for our 5th wheel to take for the weekend and get out all of the kinks for camping over the summer. Cons were that you couldn't park more than 1 car at a site, which I didn't understand as we were in the safari field and there was ample room for parking. Another con is that it was $100 more for the weekend than Mystic Seaport which was just 8 miles away (however, for that $100 more you do get more amenities: nicer campground, heated pool, bounce playmat and Mystic was under construction and was a muddy mess). Another con was that there was only 1 dump station and they were very draconian in their checkout time. The pros though are that they had wifi, 36 ch cable, twice a day on-site trash pickup. Normally we connect to sewer but the full hookups were all booked so the dump station was a necessary stop.
