The wonderful Innkeepers Sue and Dave, and their staff, make this one of the most welcoming Inns we've been to. They have perfected the art of Innkeeping. Wine, iced tea and iced coffee are in the fridg for guests, and cookies are waiting every night. The breakfasts are so creative and delicious that we purchased two of their small cookbooks - one to keep and one to give as a gift. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, with the highlight being the views of the Harbor. Corner room #5 was great. Parking is plenty and this area of Connecticut a wonderful one to explore from Mystic to Stony Brook, and Dave has good recommendations of things to do and great restaurants to dine at. Lovely all around.

We were displaced from our home due to hurricane Sandy. I found this lovely place purely by chance.
We were pleasantly surprised as soon as we walked in the door. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was tastefully decorated and very clean.
I have Celiac, so I must eat gluten free. The lovely woman in the kitchen was kind enough to make the most delicious gluten free muffins for me, and also offered gluten free french toast!
I've stayed at many places over the years, however this one will definitely be remembered!

My husband wanted to surprise me with a weekend getaway for our 1 year anniversary. He googled b&b's in Connecticut and came across the Inn at Harbor Hill. He found it to be very appealing on the internet. He called them to make reservations and found them to be really helpful and friendly. He told them that it was our one year anniversary. When we arrived we immediately fell in love with the charm of the Inn followed by the hospitality of Pam,Dave,Sue and the rest of the staff. We chose to be in there brand new wing and were amazed how beautiful it was from the entry way all the way to our room. I would and did recommend the Inn to anyone. As we entered our room we were taking by the style and layout. The fireplace and view of the Harbor with all the boats was incredible. On the desk in our room was a card addressed to both my husband and myself wishing us a very Happy Anniversary with two chocolates. There detail to the simple things is what makes this place so special. There also is a large dining room and Family room to hang out in and the kitchen is stocked with plenty of Beverages and snacks that you can get anytime of day or night. The Inn is Immaculate and a great getaway. We are already planning our next stay. Thankyou Dave,Sue and the rest of the staff. Nick and Juliana Kounas. Astoria Queens.

This was our 1st visit to CT. We could not have picked a better place to stay. This place was beautiful. The staff so friendly and helpful. The fresh baked cookies every night was a special touch. We truely hated to leave. A wonderful place to relax with lots of things to do close by.

My wife and I took advantage of the Fall Inn Love Getaway. Pam, showed us to our room. Upon entering the building the smell of new building materials struck us first. The building was only one year old. The room we stayed in was very spacious. All the amenities were first class. A very large bathroom, king size bed, comfortable chairs, television and a view of the river on one side and a view of the bay on the other side. Seagulls and boats are always in your view.

Breakfast each day was excellent. Always a fresh cooked breakfast entree, plus scones, fresh fruit, and too many other items to list.

Dave and Sue are excellent Innkeepers. If someone were to study how a bed and breakfast were to be designed and managed, their research would include interviewing these two innkeepers.

The innkeepers are very accommodating. Ask as many questions as you want about the area. Where to eat lunch and dinner? Things to do in the area? They are well equipped to provide all the answers. Sue even made reservations for us at a very busy restaurant on Saturday, while we were visiting the Essex area. Luckily Sue made the reservation as the restaurant was turning people away when we arrived. The name of the restaurant was "On the Waterfront" in New London. Thanks to Sue's recommendation, we had the best Italian meal ever at this restaurant. We actually ate there twice.

My wife and I would highly recommend Inn at Harbor Hill Marina. They have excellent standards and work to make things perfect for their guests.

You will not be disappointed! We will be back.

The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is an excellent B&B. We stayed one night in the Captain Polly room (Room #12) in the Captain Clarke House, next door to the main manor house. Overall, I would highly recommend the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina. The innkeepers (Dave, Pam & Sue) are so hospitable, and they make the experience feel like you're staying with old friends.

Room: The room was fantastic; it was nicely furnished and had a two comfy armchairs, a desk, a deep soaking tub, stall shower, electric fireplace, king-size bed, flat-screen tv, and small balcony with two rocking chairs. The best was comfy, and the shower was fantastic. The water pressure and large shower head were a huge bonus!
Check-in: Upon arrival, Lynn gave us a tour of the main house (where the breakfast would be served the following morning), the Captain Clark house, and our room itself. Lynn also provided really great restaurant recommendations. There also is a desk in the main house that has info about attractions in the area (e.g., Mystic Seaport), events going on in the area, and area restaurants.
Amenities & Atmosphere: We stayed in late October, so many of the boat owners were already beginning to winterize their boats at the marina. This obstructed the view of the marina a bit, but the inn is so relaxing and off-the-beaten path that it didn't matter at all. The rest of the Inn is so welcoming and comfortable. The Inn offers complementary coffee, tea, soft drinks, water, and ice tea & coffee at the wet bar in each house. Upon arrival, the Inn also offers a complementary glass of wine (red or white). In the mornings, the Inn offers a continental breakfast (breads, cereals, yogurts, juices, coffee, etc.) and a warm entree option (our was scrambled eggs with cheese - delicious, light & fluffy!).
I loved the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina and would go back in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Rooms in the Captain Clark House are newer (opened in 2011). There are two "inside" rooms...

We spent 2 nights as part of the Fall Inn Love package. The Inn is immaculate, the grounds well kept,Dave,Lynn and Maureen were all very helpful with ideas for things to do and restaurants to dine and any other thing you might need. The view from our room,#1, was beautiful, even in the rain! Coffee on the porch in the morning watching the fishermen go on their way was a tranquil experience.Great place to unwind!
The only downside to this whole getaway was being SSH-ed in the morning in the kitchen when asking if we were too early for coffee at 7AM(the time they say coffee is available). That kind of put a damper on my "Good" morning real quick.Nothing likke being SSH-ed at instead of greeted first thing in the AM before you even had your coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad room in the place.Just be aware that the Inn is very near the train...
