stayed here for one night
The rooms are very basic but do have aircon an absolute must in the summer, it is very shabby, we thought the restaurant was expensive so we went to the one next door which was very good.
This hotel is in a beautiful location but I would not go back, there are better hotels to be found

Northern Cyprus is busy in August and ours was a last-minute booking (we live in the south) so we considered ourselves fortunate to get into a hotel in such a fab spot overlooking the sea. But that this place was one of the few hostelries on the Karpaz able to offer us a room at such short notice, plus the fact that 'wardrobes' were listed as an amenity should, I suyppose, have provided a clue. The hotel, approached through a wasteland of dust and weeds, was old, tatty and depressing. The twenty or so steps to the first floor were all set at different heights causing guests to imagine they had one leg shorter than the other. Our room, lit by one, shadeless, low wattage, long-life bulb, appeared to have been painted by an eight-year-old weilding a broom. White emulsion was smeared artily over the doors and their frames, and streaked over the floor. The shower was a dribble and the wall bracket broken, so there was nowhere to hang the shower head. On the plus side, the towels, acquired, it would appear, from the wellness spa of a well known 5-star hotel, were clean, fluffy and, I would say, new. We booked the room for one night via the hotel website with the intention of staying longer should the accommodation be satisfactory. It wasn't and we didn't.

I have been with my couple two weeks in Cyprus. We stayed in diferent hotels. i have read good reviews about Theresa Hotel and that was the reason we stayed there, but we found were far from we expected. The price was very expensive, 40 euros, for the quality of the hotel and rooms, very simple and with things broken (mirror, lose electrical wiring...), one of the days the room was not done. The restaurant were the worst I have ever been in Cyprus, and for a very very simple and not good dinner for two it cost us 38 euros... The staff was very friendly, and they help us in all we needed, but the hotel is old and very simple for the prices they have.

This review is for the restaurant not the hotel. We arrived at midday on a March Thursday, the restaurant was empty but the two staff were sat chatting inside, admiring the beautiful coastal view. When our car pulled up, the guy immediately came outside to welcome us in. The menu was the normal cypriot fare, a selection of kebabs etc, and at first it seemed a little pricier than some (although with this spot so isolated I guess the transport costs are higher). However, when it came the Sheftali Kebab ordered by myself and grilled prawns ordered by the wife were not just that; they were preceeded by an excellent meze selection, so value for money was actually good. Excellent service and a warm friendly welcome, with food freshly cooked just for us. Not to forget the truly fantatsic location and views accross the med.

We stayed here for 3 nights in September 2007 and we are returning this October for a week. The owner, Erdogan, is a lovely man and we left with gifts of honey and almonds. The food is great and freshly cooked and the wine was on a "help yourself" basis. Our friend loves his chips and he says that these were the best ever!. The rooms are basic but clean and have good showers and air-conditioning. Location is superb and the sunsets are amazing. We cant wait to go back!

Theresa Hotel is in a beautiful location, and has its own private beach complete with sun loungers and parasols for resident's use. The room facilities are basic, but it does have air con, and for the price (we paid 30 euro each per night) we still thought it was good value. The restaurant and bar are just across the road, with a lovely view over the sea. If you are prepared for basic facilities, then you won't be disappointed.
