Atmosphere is great but if you can't eat the food what's the point. I have eaten here a few times and have gotten sick about half the time. Only go here for drinks unless you want to risk it.

We met a business associate for lunch there and were able to sit outside. After laughing about the very well concealed porn store across the street we ordered. My companions ordered one of the wraps on the menu without cheese or fries. The waiter very nicely offered extra coleslaw. The report on the warps was that there was too much wrap and as a result they were doughy. Maybe using smaller wraps would help. The lobster bisque one person had was excellent. The crab cake appetizer I had was very crabby. The caprice salad left a little to be desired. As I recall the menu said “buffalo tomatoes” but they were not. Over all very good and reasonably priced. The waiter did a very good job. This is the second time we have been there for a lunch meeting as it is a half way point for us between Rhode Island and eastern CT.

We had a fun time playing Stump Trivia and eating excellent nachos and burgers. They were even able to accommodate my gluten-free daughter's restrictions. The waiter was very caring and polite and made sure that things were done properly for her. The nachos were excellent, there are chicken nachos and shredded pork nachos. The atmosphere was great and the Trivia game that we played was so much fun. It's a great way to spend an evening having some fun with your friends and having it be affordable. The Trivia hosts were very lively and made the game alot of fun - there were even prizes. I would highly recommend it as a fun night out.

The best part of the Bulkeley house in our estimation is the outside dining in the warm weather. The food is very good.

They had a new cook, invested in the kitchen and focused more on colonial fare likebuilding that houses the restaurant. Needs more than a tiki bar attitude.
