“Muddy Waters hits the spot every time!”
Reviewed July 7, 2010

There isn't a better place in New London to enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch overlooking the water and hustle and bustle of the trains and ferries. If you love a specialty coffee drink, look no further! They have it all! Amazing breakfast sandwiches, as well as oatmeal. I love oatmeal, but have never been able to find a place that makes it to my liking. However, Muddy Waters went beyond my oatmeal expectations! How lucky we are to have this quaint, relaxing, and charming place for breakfast or lunch. I just wish they were opened for dinner!

“Amazing, Relaxing, Comfy”
Reviewed June 17, 2010

Absolutely amazing place to go for just about any meal. I had a very tasty breakfast sandwich and a cappuccino. My wife, who usually only makes oatmeal herself, loved their oatmeal and have gone back multiple times to get it. The sandwiches look amazing and the soups smell great. We both look forward to going soon for lunch. Strongly recommend. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Great selection of breakfast, lunch, drinks, pastries, and desert.

“I wish I could eat here everyday”
Reviewed June 9, 2010

Muddy Waters is by far the most consistent restaurant in downtown new london. Their food is great, the service is impressive, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I have been going here for the past 5 years and have never been disappointed. If the restaurant is open at least one of the owners is there making sure that everything is running smoothly. The food is fresh, they appreciate good ingredients and the coffee is delicious. Where else can you go get a cup of coffee and have live piano music playing, or step outside and sit on a patio with an ocean view? I would recommend this place to anyone.

“BEST PLACE TO EAT IN NEW LONDON”
Reviewed April 28, 2010

This is the best breakfast/lunch spot in the city. Great atmosphere, good prices and great food. It is busy all the time so sometimes you have to wait a bit but it's worth it. The deck is amazing in the summer.

“STELLAR breakfast & lunch!!!”
Reviewed October 27, 2009

This place is the real McCoy. Okay, they serve H & H bagels from NYC, but who can argue with that? Their veggie options are tremendous; hope that they are serving vegetarian chile that day and order it if they are. Sandwiches are ample. Cookies are excellent. Coffee choices are well-prepared and a welcome relief from Starbucks. Service is a little funky, but it's also part of the place's charm. Sit on the porch in the sun if you can. There's a great view of the river. And if you get full, you can alway order take-out. We ate breakfast there, and then ordered sandwiches to go. It takes a little while, but they're honest with you about how long a wait you can expect. AND it's worth it!
