In town for one night, the location was convenient to everything but was in an ok neighborhood. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable and had white linens (plus they have the sheet that covers the duvet which I like because it means it's clean), Lobby was fine and service was excellent. A few blocks from Yale and walking distance to everything. Nothing bad to say.

I was more than pleased with this hotel. A perfect location in downtown, walk easily to Yale Univ, restaurants, even a good cinema around the corner.

The hotel was recently renovated. public interiors and rooms, while not luxurious, are attractive, immaculate, roomy, and very comfortable.

Great beds and linens. Nice business center with free wired computers. Rooms outfitted with everything you'd want in a solid 3 1/2 star hotel.

We only stayed one night , but would have been very comfy there for a week. No complaints.

I won't prejudice this review by noting the odd occurrence of the violin player practicing in the adjacent room from 8am-10pm as I'm hoping that's somewhat of a one off for room 618.

What I found was a refreshingly unique non chain hotel with stunning lobby, well refurbished rooms with everything you would need for business or leisure.

Great location in town, right behind Crown Street for dinner and drinks. Helpful staff and free hot drinks in the lobby. Great price booked online at the last minute due to the snow. Walking distance to Yale and a great option.

First time stay this week and an affordable option. Lobby is beautiful. Rooms were clean, not sure I would guess they were recently renovated as some posts suggest. Location is near some good restaurants in the area (note the hotel only serves breakfast and does not have room service) and a convenient walk to most places in town (note parking is convenient across the street, for $20 per day). Service was good but nothing would qualify as outstanding for me. I think they could provide more in-room information about the area, restaurants and dining options, hotel amenities, services, instructions for phone and internet etc. (surprisingly there was nothing). Although I'm sure all could be learned from the front desk, I didn't want to call them with numerous questions.

I stayed at the New Haven Hotel due to the recent snow storm. I had to go to work but was concerned about driving in the snow. It is nice to know I have this option.

The hotel is clean, quiet and affordable. The location is also near all dinning.

I would definitely stay again. The breakfast was also great.

Every year I attend a conference at Yale and I always stay at this hotel. The rooms were recently renovated and are lovely, but the staff is a real throwback, in the very best sense. They have many long-time employees who just could not be nicer or more competent. And Trevor must train the new people well, based on my interactions with Jade and Yesenia during my 4-day stay. This hotel is spotless, beautifully furnished, relaxed and low key, with wonderful employees.

I was here 2 nights during an early winter storm in New Haven. The hotel was very convenient to my work. The front desk people were very pleasant and made the check in/check out process very smooth. The room was large and was clean. I enjoyed my 2 nights there riding out the bad weather. I would definitely stay here again.
