I've stayed here a few times when the rest of the New Haven hotels get sold out or ridiculously priced. This is an interesting property in that you get a whole lot more than one would expect from a $109 hotel. The rooms are all suites or mini-suites (almost like it was a converted condo complex). The desk staff has always been friendly and accommodating. My rooms have always seemed clean, but the bathrooms definitely need an overhaul. The fixtures are wearing out, wall paper is peeling, cracked tiles, etc. The kitchens are not as nice as newer extended stay hotels - but that is a non-issue for me and it is nice to have a full sized refrigerator for beverages. If the rooms were $189 or up, I'd be upset about some of these things. But at the bargain price, I can forgive them for a night or two. I have always slept well here and would return again.

The location is a little hard to find and you're not within walking distance to anything.

Note to the management: Throw some renovation cash at this property and you could have a real gem!

Room Tip: If you sleep in late, you might want a second floor room so you don't have to listen to other gu...

One adult with one night stay. Large room, helpful staff, quiet location, relatively low price compared to other hotels especially given size of room. Shuttle service, meals in lobby, and friendly staff made the stay a positive experience.

The internet was not working in the room we were assigned. When they came to investigate they upgraded us to a penthouse suite for the remainder of our trip.

The breakfast was robust and much better than the standard "free" fare. The rooms were VERY clean and I would definitely stay again! For $5/fire you can enjoy two hours of ambience while you read in the lounger.

Three adults stayed two nights, and shared our two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite, which had a sitting area, kitchenette with a large refrigerator, and TV in every room. The room was clean enough, though tired: peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, old stove, and an ill-fitting insulation strip under the front door which made it very cold in the living room area. It wouldn't take much to upgrade and freshen up the rooms. Breakfast was included, and it was the usual: waffle maker, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, fresh fruit. If you're going to Long Wharf Theater, IKEA, or the hospitals, the location is very convenient, and there is abundant free parking. We could definitely see this as a good place for a family, or someone who has to stay close to the hospitals for a period of time. We did have problems initially with the wi-fi (not working, and it took several phone calls and 10 hours to fix that), and our coffee pot needed to be replaced. Housekeeping did not arrive at our room until after 4 pm on the second day, by which time it was not convenient for us to have the room cleaned as we were resting in between activities.

The room was spacious, clean , comfortable, and very well equipped. The staff was friendly and helpful when it came to the details of my stay. I loved that laundry machines were available, and the breakfast was very good.

Two-story building so do not feel as if you're in a big hotel. In the summer, you can take your breakfast out to patio tables. Each suite has a full kitchen with pots, pans, china, cutlery, etc. so easy to cook or re-heat doggie bag leftovers. Nice sitting area with couch, fireplace and flat-screen TV. His and her clothes closets plus a coat closet and decent sized bathroom. Only complaint was no door between bathroom sink area and bedroom so turning on the light at night could wake the other person sleeping nearby. Laundry facilities near lobby. Good breakfast selection with different hot egg and meat each morning. 24 hour coffee in the lobby plus light suppers offered mid-week with yummy chocolate chip cookies. It is away from the main road so quieter, but not near enough to campus or town for easy walking access. Luckily free shuttle service is available, but cannot be reserved in advance.

Room Tip: We like being in a first floor suite (so you don't have to carry your luggage upstairs) nearer t...

I stayed in the Premiere Hotel and Suites in New Haven, Ct. for one night on Thursday, November 21, 2013. The room was very expensive for just one person, one night, one bed. This place is a low step above a dump. It looks nice from the outside but once you get in the room and see how filthy the place is you realize you have wasted your money. Bathroom not properly clean, tables and desk dusty, internet didn't work from the room. I will not be staying there anymore.
