“Most amazing library ever!”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

This library is like none other, a must see! First off, the walls are made out of marble and the sunlight shines thru it. It is very cool and beautiful to see. Secondly, there is an incredible amount of very old books. They are kept behind a glass in a separate enclosure that is firesafe. It is a really interesting place to visit, like no other library before.

English teacher here. The displays and accompanying information were outstanding. Save money and take all the free postcards you want at the security desk.

“Beautiful translucent marble walls”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Great alternative to a museum, the Beinecke has terrific displays up from their world class collection. See the Gutenberg Bible as well as fantastic bits of correspondence, design history and literary ephemera.

Beautiful building from the inside especially on a sunny day to see the light coming through marble and to see a Gutenberg Bible.
