“My favorite pizza in New Haven”
Reviewed December 4, 2013

Yes, this place gets busy, especially on weekend evenings, but that is to be expected. The pizza is, in my opinion, delicious. Thin crust, the perfect balance of crispy & doughy. My favorite is the bacon-onion pizza - though everything is good. I won't pretend to be a beer connoisseur, but from what I hear it's pretty good, too.

“Over rated”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

I do not care too much for BAR. At most, the beers can be decent, but often they run out of the home brews on tap. Seating is impossible, they charge for cheese on pizza (WHAT?!?!) and every visit I've had (4x) the bartenders are snotty, rude and obnoxious. I would only every go because of a meetup, a friend's choice, or because parking is moderately decent down the street from there. Not somewhere I'd go ever again though.

“Some of the best pizza north of NYC!”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

Went to see a concert there and noticed that due to multiple office parties being held that every surface was covered in pizzas. And a wide variety of appealing variety to boot. They had that thin crust look that can indicate amazing pizza. So I ordered a plain cheese-it rivaled Vezzo in NYC (see other reviews). Thin crust, crispy, delicious tart sauce and a perfect layering of cheese that melts in your mouth. Slices the size of a manhole cover are sometimes available for 3 bucks if you are unsure if the tabletop size pizza may be too much for your appetite. Best pizza in New Haven and one of the top five best pizzerias I have encountered. Well its more of a bar actually and attracts a business drinking crowd at times, but worth a visit for fans of thin crust Italian style pizza. Go hungry.

“PIZZA AND A DAMN GOOD STOUT!”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

What more is there to say, i came across Bru Rm At BAR over 13 yrs ago and i must say it has been the best thin crust pizza around and also the best BEER as well...Took me quite a few years to try the Mash potato pizza with bacon but when i did it was one of the best pizza's i have ever had, most people cringe when they think of mash potatoes on a pizza, try it and i guarantee you will be hooked!! They have a great selection of their own MICRO BREWS, but the best STOUT i have ever had is their DAMN GOOD STOUT, kicks Guinness to the curb and any other STOUT IMO, don't knock it until you try it......Within the last couple of years they have been stretching out the same amount of dough they always use to make the pizza bigger....I miss my old waitresses that took care of me but now i have to try and break in a few new ones!!
