This busy noodle shop is busy for a reason. . .very good food at reasonable prices. Beyond that there are not a lot of things to like. It's kind of dirty and the staff isn't too friendly, but service is fast. It is convenient to Yale.

First of all, this is not a fancy restaurant. This is a greasy little noodle house with great food. The service is acceptable, the English isn't the greatest but the noodles and location are great.

We made a mistake and took guests to Ivy Noodle while visiting Yale. The only thing good about the experience was that it was fast. The appetizer arrived 5 minutes after a couple of us already had our main course. They had no idea who ordered what or what the food they were serving was called. It was chaos! Food was greasy and nothing like it used to be. Service was, as always horrible. They insist on cash only and have installed an ATM in the front of the store to add to its already sad ambiance! The server acted annoyed when we asked for iced tea. She showed us a bottle of Snapple so we settled for water. By the time I was back home my stomach was sick from the oil on the noodles. You won't see me in this place anytime soon!

The food is delicious. Try the new location at Winchester Avenue. Same owners and with an improved menu. My personal favorite is the Singapore-style fried noodles. Simply love the rich flavor of shrimp and pork bone broth mixed into the thick yellow noodles.

I've been eating here for years, and it's a great, no-frills, super cheap Chinese restaurant. I definitely recommend getting one of the noodle soups, particularly the wonton noodle soup with pork and Cantonese style noodles (the thin yellow ones). The wontons have pork and shrimp inside. There's something about the broth that is highly addictive, and I love the bok choy in the soup--always really fresh. The service is always very fast, but sometimes a line forms on the weekend and you may have to wait a bit for a table. There's also the option of sitting at the counter, which is a great option if you're eating alone or don't want to wait for a table. If you're trying to impress someone with a fancy restaurant, this place isn't for you. But, if you're trying to get good food on the cheap, this place is great!
