“Old reliable - still very good pizza”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Very busy place, even on a Monday evening. Lots of college kids and couples and families. Ordered large cheese and got the usual great pizza with the strange slicing technique; all different types of slices. Had some nice Italian Birra and wine (very reasonable). Service was great considering how many customers come in and out. Prices very reasonable. Now that Sally's is closed this place must get chaotic when the crowds descend. Parking is tight. There is a lot adjacent but you often have to hunt for a space. There is also a great pastry/gelato shop just next to the parking lot for dessert

“The Best Clam Pizza”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

The pizza is always incredible. The fresh clam pizza is my favorite. Nothing better then wood fired pizza.

“Consistently Good!”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

Pepe's is the hot spot for pizza in New Haven. It's a tradition to wait outside in line for your seat at one of their green booths. The pizza is traditional Italian Neopolitan and worth the wait.

“Pizza nirvana! YUM! Sooooooooooooo good!”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

We are frequent customers of the Yonkers, NY location, so we had to stop for our first visit to the original Wooster Street location. We got there about about 20 minutes before the doors were due to open on Presidents' Day and there were already a few groups of people ahead of us on line!!! You know you're in for a great meal when all of the locals are already queued up.

By the time the doors opened, the line was down the street and the restaurant quite literally filled up instantly. It was impressive!! The decor of all of the other locations is identical to the original.

Service was fast, friendly and the pizza was DELICIOUS and worth the wait. We WILL be back the next time we're in the area. Pizza nirvana.

“The best pizza in CT!”
Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

This classic New Haven pizza place is the place for authentic thin crust pizza. Don't expect anything else but a salad on the menu. We ordered 2 small pies :white clam pie and a spinach mushroom broccoli and stuffed ourselves and took half a pie home. Hate to say it but this beats New York Pizza hands down
