burgers great.. shakes even better.. my daughter loves the peanut butter shake. When we were there it was not a long wait. the tables are made of reclaimed bowling lanes which is a nice effect.

Loved the modern design and presentation of menu. Always seems like a long line, but it moves fast. I had the mushroom burger stuffed with cheese which was really good, but the fries we shared were your typical fast food fare. Also, others tried the burgers & shakes and thought Five guys had better quality/lower price. However, it's nice to see some trendy restaurants with lower prices in this part of town. Worth a try.

The famous NYC burger and shake joint has opened in New Haven! While the lines wrap around the block in NYC at lunch time,it's pretty darn close in New Haven.... well, at least to the door. In this world of eating only what's good for you and tofu this and that, sometimes a big, fat, juicy burger is just what hits the spot. There's a nice selection of burgers, fries, custards and shakes to chose from. The meat is tasty, the buns are toasted, fries are crispy krinkle cut, shakes are thick and heavenly, and the atmosphere is cozy. Smack in the middle of Chapel Street in Yale world you will find tons of students congregating for lunch with friends and lots of people in dress clothes wearing a bib while sucking down a juicy delicous burger. The only pitfall I could find is that while it was lunch hour and the place was packed, there was only one register open, add 15 minutes to get your food onto that, and you have to plan on taking that extended lunch.... but deinitely worth it!
