“A Very Good Variety of Exhibits”
Reviewed March 31, 2012

The Knights of Columbus Museum provides a good overview of the organization as well as their long relationship with the Vatican and support of various programs. They typically have special exhibits throughout the year and the ones during the Christmas season are particularly worthwhile.

“Little Known Fine Museum in New Haven”
Reviewed March 7, 2012

The Catholic men's fraternal organization Knights of Columbus, whose insurance company is headquartered in New Haven, CT, also has a surprisingly spacious and good museum with interesting special exhibits and a permanent collection worth seeing.

The museum had an exhibit of African nativity scenes from all parts of Africa when we visited most recently. There were over 100 differennt nativity depictions, from a wide variety of materials, in many different styles, with some scenes hundreds of years old.

The permanenet collection is mostly of interest to Catholics and K of C members, with heavy emphasis on K of C history and the growth of the organization throughout North America and overseas. But the museum itself is quite spacious, well laid out, and easy to get around in (there's an elevator for accessibility and a free secure parking area).

Reviewed February 8, 2012

This museum changes exhibits often, with special themes and terrific Christmas exhibits. Worth a visit once or twice a year.

“Better than you think it will be”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

I didn't expect much when I went for the Christmas in Africa exhibit, but boy was I wrong. This is a great little museum. The exhibits are well done and quite interesting. Just remember, this is a museum dedicated to the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Church, so that is what you will get.
