Carmine's Tuscan Grill is consistently good. It is notable in a city that has many Italian dining options. Portions are more than adequate.Veal is always a reliable choice. Fish dishes are fresh tasting and properly seasoned. Service is professional and leisurely. The location is in a commercial area with no outside areas of interest. The inside is decorated in a pseudo Italian vineyard theme. Its comfortable . Normal conversation is easy because noise levels are low. It is a bit pricey but you can tell the cook uses quality ingredients. So, worth the extra few dollars. They run specials for the budget conscious.

This Northern Italian restaurant is easy to pass up because of the location and surroundings (see the review below), but it is worth the stop. The menu shows some innovation and the food is great. Prices are slightly high for the area, but well worth it. The staff and owner really make you feel welcome and make sure that you are satisfied.

I drove past this restaurant for 19 years before trying it. Why didn't I? Not sure. The location isn't charming. The building housing the restaurant is attractive enough, but it's sandwiched between a gas station and a car wash in a commercial area and flanked on both sides by busy state roads.

But once you walk through the door, you are somewhere else entirely! The decor is old-fashioned semi-formal American-Italian Restaurant--white tablecloths, tall-backed chairs, and a vineyard's worth of grapes hanging from the ceiling's latticework. But the food ... I've been twice now and it's been uniformly excellent. Their sauces, from tomato-and-meat to marsala to straight-up marinara to vodka are out of this world. Meat, vegetable, and pasta dishes--all delicious. Portions are generous. Service isn't fast, but complimentary goodies keep making their way to the table, and the food is definitely worth the wait.

Who knew? So glad we finally stopped in.
