I had friends visiting from San Francisco (serious foodies). We had great fun on the Theatre District tour; a great way to sample New Haven's fantastic food scene, and also to learn about local history and architecture from personable and knowledegable guide Colin. I highly recommend.

Had a Groupon for the Theater district tour and tastings. Even though we thought we knew New Haven, we didn't! Eric was a great guide to the city's history, and the food (iincluding the kettle corn on the street) and drinks were a real pleasant surprise. We would recommend this tour without reservation, and we intend to attend their other tours in the future. Super!

I recently went on the Theatre District tour with a bunch of friends from work. We had the best time! Natalie was our main tour guide and Colin who runs The Taste of New Haven come along. We had so much fun learning about New Haven, the people and the places it has to offer. All the food and drinks were delicious. Well, i didn't care for the micro brews at Bru, but the pizza was yummy! I highly recommend this tour and I can't wait to do the Canal Tour next time!

Went on the Taste of New Haven Food & Drink Tour in the Theater district with a group of women from work.It was so much fun trying the different foods and drinks at the various places that our tour guides brought us to! Colin was very knowledgeable about the city of New Haven's and Yale University's histories, and about their architecture. The food at the restaurants we went to was all delicious, and you don't get just a taste! We had pizza and beer at Bar Restaurant, a chicken salad sandwich and an alcoholic drink at Temple Grill, appetizers and beer/ wine at Kelly's Restaurant & Pub, chocolates from Chocopologie,Bubbies Mochi ice cream( chewy flavored rice paper wrapped around ice cream- delicious), etc.We even started out with a wine tasting at The Wine Thief! And we only walked about a mile altogether. We went home with full bellies! Their website is www.tasteofnewhaven.com.

We went on the Theater District tour last weekend and had a great time. Start to finish Colin was very interesting to listen to, with a very engaging personality. We started out with drinks at the Wine Thief and ended with a delicious meal at Kellys. In between was a lot of food at little hidden gems someone just visiting the city might not see, and we learned a lot about the history and culture of a great city that is right next door, but we never really "knew" about. We have a different view of New Haven now and would go back to visit the restaurants we stopped at, and perhaps others along the way. The tour was about 4 1/2 hours long - which included a tour of Yale University which was very interesting - definitely worth every penny and then some. Looking forward to taking another tour very soon and we are certainly spreading the word on what a great time it was. Thank you Colin, see you soon!
