The first night I sank into one of the most comfortable beds in ages. Slept great! Nice shades that block out light. Quiet, clean and the "study" atmosphere in the lobby and rooms, made one want to read and relax without the TV or electronics. Nice view of Yale from 719. Great cookies ordered up from the restaurant. Delicious room service breakfast of eggs, bacon, etc with free coffee downstairs. Oatmeal and pancakes good too. Pleasant, soft-spoken staff. Easy valet parking.

Room Tip: 719 was high up enough and on side of building with campus view. Saw West Rock but not East Rock. Ve...

Love this boutique hotel. Stayed for a night and would never try anywhere else in New Haven. Rooms were spacious, clean, and relaxing. The leather chairs and desk facing the window are awesome, comfy touches. Bed was super comfortable and the location was within walking distance to multiple coffee shops and right across the street from a cool looking Thai place with buffet (!!).

Check in was easy and the front desk staff was great at calling a cab and following up when the cabs didn't come on time. Cucumber water at the front desk was a nice touch, as were the ginger snaps.

Only negative was the restaurant- staff was hard to find in the morning and food and service were mediocre and slow. I'd skip this entirely next time and go instead for a quick coffee in the lobby or, better yet, take a nice walk to Blue Bottle.

What makes it so great? Easy and efficient check-in. Comfortable and clean room. Really good food in hotel restaurant. Great location with a number of good restaurants in walking distance....also, close to the hospital. Excellent customer service from the time of check-in to check-out!

Everything about this place was great and convenient for what I needed. The location was fantastic. Parking is always a big deal for me so even though it's valet only, the attendants were always very attentive and quick and you can go in and out as often as you like (parking otherwise is pretty tight around this area so if you're driving, will probably have to use the valet service). The food from their restaurant is also extremely delicious in case there's a night you either want to eat in or you simply don't have time to grab a bite elsewhere. Room was also very clean, modern, and just plain comfortable. Definitely highly recommend this place!

This is exactly what my understanding under a perfect hotel! First of all, Bravo to the architect and designer, modern and functional without clichés, just perfect. Very clean and kept up to date, like it just opened. The staff is very friendly with class and respect! It might be a detail but, the room keepers are well dressed and give there métier a dignifying shine. Very good management. I find the Price/Quality ratio very good. Looking forward to the few more days left, on my 2 week stay.
Elevators are fast. Climate in the room is very well adjustable. Big flat screen with HBO. Bathroom very clean and bright. Nice large window. WiFi.......

Room Tip: I liked the room I got, which was 512. This floor is already a bit above some of the buildings aroun...

I really loved my visit here. Truly a boutique hotel, the look is that of a study, and the room I had was complete with a small library and a reading chair and lamp. The window view was incredible, and the king size room was spacious. But what I liked most was the central location of the hotel: overlooking Yale campus, close to the libraries, the museums, many restaurants, coffee houses, all within walking distance. It was a perfect choice. I am happy!

This hotel is modern, yet cozy, inviting and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Some rooms have a separate reading area compete with comfortable leather chairs and plenty of desk space. The rooftop views are gorgeous. The in-room internet was fast and efficient and there are also public terminals and printers in the lobby. The restaurant downstairs is a must-try and the room service menu is ample, if a bit pricey. Convenient to Yale. This is my top choice for business or pleasure in New Haven and is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in anywhere.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a deluxe room or suite for a little more space.
