“overpriced”

The food is of high quality and it is yummy but it is not so creative that it warrants the prices. For example steak frites will cost you close to $ 30. The best thing is the grilled cheese sandwich which is a much better value at their food truck.

“Quaint bistro-like atmosphere with attached fromagerie.”
Reviewed March 22, 2012

The cheeses are excellent. The menu reminiscent of bistro fare. Have always enjoyed Caseus for its simple dishes of Steak or Mussels Frites, Cheesburger, and Mac and Cheese. Recently visited though and switched it up by ordering the organic oven roasted half chicken, which though crispy on the outside was completely devoid of moisture on the inside - I would not order it again. But that would not keep me from returning again soon for some delicious, more simple fare accompanied by an unique beer or glass of wine and followed by a cheese plate.

“The Big Cheese has a big success with Caseus”
Reviewed March 18, 2012

What a wonderful little place. A tiny trendy bistro with a fantastic, creative and delicious menu. Jason, the owner, is passionate about his romance with cheeses.
His menu is creative and it incorporates cheeses in all forms, from Mac and cheese to french onion soup. This is a place you'll want to return to again and again. A reservation is an absolute must because everyone in New Haven loves Caseus.
