“Small and rather eccentric plays”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

We have been to the Long Wharf several times. The last time we went to see Sam Waterson in a play. I think it was a Russian play. The seats were REALLY close together and honestly unless you knew the history behind the play it was impossible to follow. We left half way through.

“Great theatre.”

Great theatre, professional actors, first rate directing and playwrights. Top notch stars in an intimate setting. Wonderful!

“Wonderful Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2012

We have been going to Long Wharf since the 1970s. There have been great plays and some real bombs, but overall it was been a good experience. The worst thing about the theater are the seats. They are small and cramped. They renovated the theater this summer and expanded the seating space so perhaps that issue is no longer.
I would highly recommend it for some exciting theater.

“Buyer beware”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2012

Pay close attention to the reviews, and if they give you pause, think twice: I've seen plays that were very good, and others that we agreed had to be in one act or no one would stay for the second act

I've been to both stages and every seat offers a terrific view! I highly recommend seeing a show at this theater!
