So much to see and do. You must bring your camera. Allow for a couple of days. A definite must do in New Haven

What a beautiful old campus that is long in history and tradition. It was neat to see this place that I have heard about my entire life.

“Old Campus Architecture & What to See at Yale”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

There are many attractions around what is considered "old campus" or the main portion of campus that most would consider Yale proper. Most of the campus is bisected by the city streets of New Haven, but this doesn't really impair the experience. Parking is available (paid meter that accept both coins and debit/credit cards) around campus and on the street near the green (downtown New Haven's green park space). There are parking decks located off of the green, though they fill up due to commuters during work days.

If you get the chance, don't just admire the buildings, go in them as well. Many of the buildings are open to the public and even the classrooms are beautiful. Check out the buildings on High St between Chapel and Elm St for a gimps at a Tiffany window in what I think is the English department. Sterling Memorial Library is also a great building to go in (you'll see the entrance as you walk up High St toward Elm St). The area around the School of Divinity is very pretty and Yale School of Medicine has a medical history museum.

New Haven is known for petty theft, don't leave valuables in sight and make sure your doors are locked.

“Yale Spring Splash”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

Each year Yale University holds a one day (Sat) program for High School kids called Spring Splash which is awesome! The classes are taught by Yale students & the subjects are eclectic & fun. Yale tries to also accommodate the parents who descend upon the campus & have to wait from 9AM - 5PM to collect our kids. They offered campus tours & overall the college students are warm, welcoming, articulate, funny, wonderful role models & simply amazing. Parents of Yale students should be very proud for a multitude of reasons.

“Amazing architecture”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

Walking for almost a whole day around the huge area that Yale University has at Downtown New Haven you can appreciate all of the things that these area has to offer. And not to mention the amazing architecture. From museums, art centers, theatres, libraries, etc. But, being that all of the surrounding areas are part of the university life, it would not be complete without some great bars and restaurants. Alive during the day and night makes it a most see during your visit to Connecticut.
