I've been there numerous times and have enjoyed the experience every time! The place is always busy on the weekends (about a 30 minute wait), but obviously the wait is worth it! There are weekly brunch specials every weekend that are to die for. The food is never boring and the portions are never small. Definitely a must to try!

My husband and I have been to Lena's many times- with family, friends, for birthday brunches and quick breakfasts. We love it! It is such a relaxing way to spend a Saturday or Sunday morning. We come early (around 9:30) so we don't have to wait. The food is great! The waitstaff is very friendly and always remembers how we like our food. There are lots of flavors of coffee to choose from.
We are so happy that we have a great place to meet friends for brunch!!

A nice, comfortable cafe is the anchor of a neighborhood, and Leena's is a great neighborhood cafe. The food is good, the ambiance is casual and, well, neighborly, with overstuffed chairs and sofas as well as regular tables. The baked goods are particularly excellent--the chocolate macaroons, in particular, are transcendent. The one serious problem is service on weekend mornings; not that it's bad, but it's slow. as molasses. Leena's is more crowded on a Sunday morning than any local neighborhood place I know of. You need to be in a very languid state of mind, ready to hang out outside and peruse the Advocate for a half-hour or so, to get a table, and then be prepared to sit with your coffee for another hour before you see your omelet. Worth it? Maybe. it's a matter of temperament.
