“Not very good, wouldn't go back”
Reviewed November 6, 2011

Stopped in for lunch one day last week, had a burger and fries. Fries were greasy and burger was nothing special. Feel no need to ever return.

New owners. All fresh baked goods. Clean and friendly. Better attitude and food, all around.

“Georgie Must Be Turning Over in his Grave”
Reviewed July 12, 2011

I remember when the Miss Washington Diner opened in December, 1960. My uncle used to take me there after the movies on a Saturday afternoon. It was a classic New England diner, open 24/7, with a vast menu full of delicious things like burgers, hot open sandwiches, hot turkey dinners, fantastic breakfasts, lots of food, low prices. For years a Greek man named George owned it and always seemed to be there. Over the past 51 years I have come here hundreds of times. The diner closed a few times and reopened under different ownership since Georgie passed away in the last decade. Now it is not good, a shadow of what it once was in a dying city. It is only open for breakfast and lunch. The menu is small - eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, no platters or hot entrees. I had a b.l.t. a few days ago. Nothing special, fries were pretty good. Nice waitresses. It may hang on for a while but I wish someone would buy it and restore it to what it was.
