The sauce is addictive. This is the "original" in the area, despite all the new hot dog restaurants, this is hard to beat.

Love the hotdogs with meatsauce. They have awesome onion rings also. Its located in New Britian Ct. Not the greatest neighborhood, but fine during the day. If you like hotdogs with meatsauce, you need to stop in. One dog won't cut it! You need at least two, I usually get three, thats how good the meatsauce is!

Place is a dump but dogs are great with the sauce. It has been in town forever. There is a reason for that.

Most Wednesday nights will find my friend and I at the Capital for dogs. I first experienced the Capital in the early 1960's while a student at CCSU. The dogs are still great and their special sauce while it bothers my old stomach is worth the few peptos I have to take. A must stop dog joint.

The restaurant states that they use the same recipe, but I think that Capitol Lunch lives on its old reputation. I started eating there in the early 1970's and it was the place for a hili dog. Not so much anymore!
