“Old Country, Modern Quality”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

Whether you are looking for an inexpensive treat or luxurious taste of the old country Staropolska satisfies.

At the top of Broad Street in New Britain, Connecticut Staropolska brings classic Polish food home to America. Rich gravy, golden brown potato pancakes and the best pierogies anywhere are topped by daily specials. On Friday don't forget the Veal Meatballs, breath taking.

Excellent Polish beer and a patient staff welcome the visitor with generous portions and friendly smiles. Visit New Britain and don't forget the Krakus market directly across the street. Shop classic Polish and Chicago specialties and then sit for a leisurely lunch in the bright and sunny Staropolska!

Outdoor or indoor Staropolska delivers a happy spring dining experience in Poland any day of the year! Don’t forget the specials, the pork hocks are to die for.

“we were dissapointed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

we wanted to like this place. Perhaps after being used to Polish restaurants in Chicago our expectations were too high. Fron the outside it looks like what you expect . There was a nice parking lot. Inside, although not fancy, was certainly welcoming. As was the waitress although the service did really drag The menu was quite limited. There were no Polich deserts. What a disappointment. Serving sizes were just average and the prices were a bit high. There was an extra charge to substitute 1 potato pancake for the mashed potatoes. I believe they charged around $10 for an order of potato pancakes. Would I go back? Probably not.

“Great Little Poland Restuarant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

This restaurant was featured on the Travel Channel's Taste of America. Located on Broad Street in New Britain otherwise known as "Little Poland." Good food at reasonable prices. I have since become a regular. Nice outdoor patio area during warmer months. Great staff. Recommend without reservation.

“Awesome Polish food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2012

This is a casual restaurant of modest but clean decor. The food was surprisingly delicious. We shared the stuffed cabbage, potato pancakes, pork and pirogi and walked out happy and stuffed. The stuffed cabbage looks huge but is tasty and light as a feather. The waitstaff was friendly and our experience very positive.
