With a Groupon in hand we decided to dine at this restaurant on a Thursday evening at around 6:30PM. Parking is limited to the street and with is a popular supermarket located nearby, we ended up circling the area a few times before securing a spot a few blocks away. The restaurant is small, informal and very clean including the (singular) bathroom. Most of the glass topped tables were occupied which is always a good sign. I took advantage of their BYOB (no corkage fee) policy to bring in a bottle of wine and was provided with glasses and a cork screw. We were not overly hungry so we opted to share 2 stir fry dishes – spicy eggplant with shrimp and crispy chicken, the latter listed as a house special. Neither dish had the light, fresh, complex flavors I associate with the best in Thai cooking. The crispy chicken was hardly authentic, reminiscent of General Tso's chicken, while the spicy eggplant's special sauce was on the oily side. Service throughout our meal was very good and the personable owner visited our table twice to chat. Though this is the best (and only) Thai restaurant in New Britain, in the future I will be going the extra mile(s) in search of more authentic cuisine.
