Such an absolute delight. You are surprised on every floor and the work is eye-opening. I don't know what I expected - but I know that I really liked the visit and have been back once already - we're taking friends next weekend.

A lovely museum adjacent to Walnut Hill Park with a surpirsingly good collection of art. Many visiting exhibits are a good reason to return periodically.

I went on Feb 3 to see the Toulouse-Lautrec museum and was really surprised to find this wonderful museum hiding in New Britain! I had no idea it even existed. Its 2 floors of fabulous American art, including impressionist paintings, sculptures, and modern mixed media pieces. The Toulouse-Lautrec exhibit was fun and I learned a lot. I ended up spending a lot more time there than I expected. Would highly recommend it for the whole family.

An incredible museum, a true gem. If you're passing thru, this museum is definitely worth a stop. The various collections are outstanding. It's difficult to describe, it's simply wonderful. Such a treasure, not to be missed.

If you live in the state and haven't been, you're missing a great museum. Go visit!

The New Britain Museum of American Art is a world-class museum located in Central Connecticut. The permanent, colorful wall sculpture on the stair case alone is worth the visit as is the moving Twin Towers painting.

A wonderful collection of important American artists as well as special exhibits. Right now a terrific Toulouse Lautrec exhibit.
