The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful! The room was much bigger than we expected. The location was great, the aquarium, the Old Mystic Seaport, and restaurants were all in near proximity.
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
Continuing drive up the east coast and it was time to stop and mystic was the place. Hyatt place is ok nice service at check very friendly and through. Rooms are suites and as others have said bed pretty much like a piece of plywood but it serves the purpose. Onward and up the coast.
We stayed at this hotel for one night
The location was close to the interstate so easy access
The room was very spacious and comfortable
The TV was huge
The stay was good
The staff was helpful
There was a standard breakfast. The selections were fair
We did not utilize room service
The hotel is right off the highway and near downtown, the seaport and the mystic village shops. The room was clean and spacious. The staff helped us with restaurants and had menus for us to review. There was a wonderful continental breakfast with Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea. We will stay here again!
Our rooms were clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was great, but it was the staff that made the visit extraordinary. We were in town to attend funerals on two separate occasions and found the front desk to be very professional. Our thanks to the Manager Sharon for her act of kindness. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Mystic.
We stayed here last month for an anniversary weekend. We pre-paid and had a reservation but arrived early at 1:30pm. Parking lot was empty. We were told that we needed to come back after 3. End of conversation. The girl at the front desk had zero personality and looked miserable to be at work. A 2nd girl came out and apologized and said that they could hold our luggage until we came back. When we came back at 3, the 2nd girl was up front and said that they still did n ot have a room ready for us (even though we reserved a week in advance). She blamed housekeeping for having people out. She said it would be ~15 minutes. We sat in the lobby and had 2 families come in, off the street, and request the same style room and their host made a call on his radio and was able to accommodate the 2 families before us.
After 15 minutes we were shown to our room, it was OK but much smaller than it looks. The bed was not comfortable and the couch was impossible to sit on. We went to check out the dinner area and realized that the front desk also doubles as a cafe style eatery with pre-made salads and stuff in a glass storage case. We decided that we would try room service and after ordering $40 worth of food, we were told 15-20 minutes. About 45 minutes went by and we got a phone call that they were out of red peppers for 2 items and out of cheese for a 3rd and did we mind substitutions on 80% of the meal? It was a bizarre experience and while the rooms were clean-ish and the shower was unusually nice, we expected better amenities and customer service and less noise for the price. Hallway and lobby were heard all night. There are better hotels in the same vicinity.
