“Not worth the price”

The food was like bad wedding food. The bisque had a film on top like it had been sitting in the bowl for quite awhile before it arrived at our table. We had 4 different entrees and they were all terrible. Definitely not worth the price. It was a very pretty location, but I was looking for good food! Go somewhere else!

“Great location - OK food”
Reviewed August 7, 2010

The restaurant is in the perfect location for watching the boats and seeing the drawbridge go up, but the food is nothing special. Your basic tourist fare at tourist prices.

Went here for lunch after touring Mystic. What a great find! My husband had the oyster stew which he said was the best he had ever had. I had the clam chowder that was absolutely delicious.

Their gardens are a beautiful backdrop for taking photos.

“Very good food”
Reviewed July 27, 2010

What a great place to eat, right in the middle of downtown, next to the Mystic Drawbridge
that opens every hour to let boats come and go to the Mystic Seaport and they go right by
the restaurant for all to see. Many of the yachts are large day sailers and are fun to watch. Varied menu with lots of fresh seafood and creative offerings. Lush gardens with palm trees and colorful plantings around the outside terrace. We brought guests from St Simons Island, GA for a waterside lunch and they loved it. We'll be back!
This place is very busy, so the hostess said to get there around 11am for lunch to get seated on the outside terrace. We got a great table.

“The best in Mystic...”
Reviewed July 24, 2010

Waited for a table about 40 minutes. That's my only complaint. The food was the best our family had in Mystic. The view was on the water and the service was prompt and friendly. The pork was very tasty and tender and the seafood was prepared perfectly. The lobster bisque was also good. Overall, an excellent choice.
