“good lunch”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is a good spot for a quick lunch. I had 6 blue points and the lobster salad sandwhich. The oysters were good but I thought the lobster salad had too much lemon in it and it masked the flavor of the lobster. The sandwich was well put together. The lobster salad was fresh and plentiful, and the brioche bun was good. My partner had the shrimp with 5 grain salad and the shrimp were well seasoned and the grains cooked properly. The service was attentive and the food came out quickly. The staff is well trained.

“Okay... I'll play!”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

“Go Fish.” That’s kind of what we were doing while trying to find a good place for lunch. We wanted more of a full meal, not just sandwiches, but we also wanted a place that offered more than just fried seafood, yet we didn’t want to spend more than $20 per entrée. No small wish list, I know. After walking out of one restaurant for poor menu selections and not being approached for about 10 minutes, we retreated to the car to peruse the handy little Mystic map, pulling up restaurants and menus shown on the map. A little disillusioned, we decided to just grab a quick bite while in Olde Mystick Village, and have a better dinner elsewhere. Then we noticed it… Go Fish. Right there at Mystick Village, but not on the map! We stepped into the vestibule, read the menu, and suddenly we were hopeful! Grilled & baked seafood dishes. Tuna salad nicoise. Vegetables as sides! YAY! Wait… what about the prices? WOAH! Can that be right? Prices under that magic number?? So…. We gave it a shot. I ordered the grilled fish (salmon) on sautéed greens with tomato relish and my companion had baked cod with broccoli and carrots. Both entrees and sides were cooked to perfection. Very fresh, very tasty, ample portions. Service was relaxed, yet attentive. If we play our cards right, we’ll be back in this area again, and we’re already looking forward to dinner at Go Fish!

“Best Seafood Dinner”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

WOW is all I can say. Great indoor space (vibrant colors and artwork). Wonderful attentive service, and probably the best seafood meal we've ever had. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection (Sushi Roll Sampler, Steamed Mussels, Grilled Tuna on 5 Grain Salad, Chick Pea and Grilled Shrimp Salad), and had depth in flavor. We especially liked that there were whole grain, lower glycemic options (chick pea salad, five grain salad with barley, wild rice, wheat berry, pearl barley, red rice). There are lots of options of younger visitors (yes, there are french fries), too. We were so full, we shared an apple crisp dessert, and that was fine with the waiter. No extra plate charge. Excellent meal, an we wish we lived closer so we could visit more often!

“Safe choice for family dining”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

Had lunch here with our daughters after visiting the aquarium (within walking distance). We sat in the corner of the big room. Cool artwork on the walls and good menu choices for the kids. Good salads and soups. Service wasn't the best, but overall it worked. Enjoyable experience. Would go again.

“Good food, good service”
Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

This is a huge restaurant. The main dining room is dim with a funky vibe and huge screen of colorful fish graphics. But we weren't seated there. Even though the main room was mostly empty, we were seated in a totally empty room at the front of the restaurant that lacked any vibe. When other people with kids were seated there I realized this was where they put families. It's like being forced to sit in the cry room at church when your kids don't cry.

Everything we had was yummy -- calamari, salmon over greens, stuffed halibut, creme brulee. I would go back but would ask to sit in the main room. Our waitress was great, by the way.
