Even before stepping in to this place, I knew this has to be a great place to dine since parking was absolutely full -- for a weekday! The place is gorgeous and it was like stepping into history. The ambience was wonderful and the service was excellent. The best part was the food. The stuffed lobster was marvelous and the chicken paella was amazing. The clam chowder was out of this world and the xango for dessert was an unexpected delight. I loved the place. I think it is a $$ to $$$ place at least, but definitely worth the trip!!!

My return to Mystic was topped off by an excellent lunch at the Daniel Packer Inn. Onion soup and calamari was delicious. Crunchy crusted bread was served with butter and a roasted garlic Clove. We finished our meal with ice cream and coffee. Everything was excellent....the next time I am in Mystic, I will definitely return to DOI.

Stopped her for lunch this past weekend, ate in the downstairs pub. Friendly bartender and waiter. Felt like your back in time a hundred plus years ago. Nice selection of ice cold draft beer.
We had a crab cake sandwich, and corned beef Reuben. Not the best we ever had, but very satisfying. Would recommend and go again.
