Good food and great menu selection. The service was fast and attentive, despite being a very busy place for Sunday lunch.

“A so-so lunch”
Reviewed August 24, 2014

Meeting family for a Saturday lunch and didn't want to deal with "downtown" Mystic traffic and parking. Read a few reviews and the diner seemed like a reasonable choice. Two of us had french toast, two of us had chicken parm sandwiches. One of us liked the french toast, the other found it average. The sandwiches were judged average, and messy to eat. Our waitperson was OK, tho not particularly attentive. We all agreed that a return trip is not in the cards.

“Terrible value & mediocre breakfast”
Reviewed August 23, 2014

Ate breakfast here and wasn't pleased at all. Initially ordered the Apple Pancakes - short stack(2) expecting apples baked in or in topping style. Received 2 mediocre pancakes with some sliced apples on top & drizzled with raspberry sauce. All the other pancakes stated they were topped with fruit. No sides came with the pancakes. I sent then back & just got 2 pancakes, which I had to add butter, strawberry jelly & syrup to makei it have any flavor. Daughter ordereda sausage, cheese & egg breakfast sandwich. Came out on a large bun & was mostly bread, again no sides. Husband ordered a spicy omelette. It did come with home fries & toast. We did add on crist bacon (which is served broken up in a bowl) & some home fries. With 2 coffees the bill was $27! Pricey for what you receive. Servixe was fast & restaurant was clean, but food was mediocre & not worth the price. Better breakfast sandwichs at McDonalds & Friendly's is only a few doors down & a better value and taste for breakfast.Maybe food is better for lunch & dinner. Worst diner breakfast I ever had.

“A Diner is a Diner”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

The waitress we had may have been somwhat intoxicated. My wife could sense the smell of alchohol on the waitress's breath. She was more concerned about where the hostess was sitting customers , more than anything else. In fact at one point she had a discussion with the hostess. I guess she wanteakll the patrons
