I have now stayed here four or five times and each time, have had a great room with plenty of space, a good shower and an acceptable continental breakfast (which is included). Wireless is free and there's plenty of free parking. For a business trip it's hard to beat.

There are options for diining and hot dishes at breakfast if you want too, with Starbucks coffee and a bar for the evenings.

There's a big flatscreen TV which can be angled for viewing from the lounge area or the bed. there'a a small pool and gym, but have never used either.

It's hard to fault really, excpet the fridge is noisy, so I just unplug it when I first arrive.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Old Gate Lane to avoid noise from the I95

Stayed here one night while reviewing University of New Haven, only a few miles away, with easy access to/from interstate. Upsale feel with plenty of space. Had a suite style room with two doubles and a partially-separated area with a large, L-shaped sleeper sofa. Ammenities included in-room coffee/tea, mini fridge, hair dryer, complimentary wi-fi internet connection. Large flat screen and spacious desk area with plenty of ports (panel in the wall with electrical, usb, and many other audio/video ports). Sink /vanity outside bathroom area. Nice towels. Beds very comfortable, pillows fluffy and nice. Complimentary breakfast was pretty standard, but more than enough to get you going (fruit, cereal, toast, pastries, yogurt). You can order more from a small menu if you prefer. Most importantly, the entire property was very clean.

The Hyatt Place Milford is a beautiful hotel. Do not let the outside appearance and the location trick you. The room is spacious and very functional. It has a spacious living room, large flatscreen TV, free internet, separate business area too. They provide you with a free continental breakfast. I've enjoyed my stay here and will be staying here the next time I will be in the area!

The Hyatt Place in Milford, CT, is very convenient located close to the Highway. While traveling from JFK to Maine a good location to spend the night. The rooms a very spacious. King bed and separate area with sleeping sofa, small kitchen area with fridge and microwave and small bathroom (sink was separate from bathroom). Room was very clean, bed comfortable, big screen TV.
Basic breakfast free, extras possible for an extra charge. No free Wifi. That's a minus for this hotel as well as the slow cleaning of the breakfast area.
Friendly staff at check in/out desk.

I was traveling on business and decided to stay at the Hyatt Place in Milford CT. I had never experienced this Hyatt concept and was a bit disapointed about the stay. I was greated by the front desk and offered a quick tour of the hotel offerings. They have a small bar/eatery connected to the front desk that serves drinks & food. They also have a 24 hour mart that you can pick some small food items at. The lobby area was trendy and had several seating configurations to allow for private conversations.

The room was a standard king and it was more than enough space for one person. The living space had a large L shape couch, a desk, small kitchen. Dividing the room was a half wall screen with a large 42" tv that could be swung for viewing from the bed or living space. The bathroom was seperated into 2 spaces, a shower and toilet room and the sink was outside in the bedroom area. Overall the room was good except; There was a smell the hit me as soon as I entered the room. A smell of mold and must (much like a gym locker room) that has also been mentioned in these review's. I asked the front desk about what could be done and they claim it was due to the rain outside. Now it was raining but I believe it came from the heating/cooling system. They did add try to remove the odor by spraying a scent in the room but it did not really work. It was tough to really relax. The other issue was sound from the hall and next room. The wall's are very thin and I could hear the folks next door just talking.

The hotel does have alot going for it and I will give it another chance as I travel frequently to this area. I hope they can address the smell issue.
