We tried to stay here for a wedding and before getting a cab ride over there wanted to confirm our reservation since it was a long way. We paid for the room via hotels.com and no one picked up the phone. We didn't want to risk the place being closed and we called nonstop for hours with NO response, so we basically ended up paying for a room at a different hotel and losing money for a place we never even stayed! Two months later we are still calling daily with no response trying to get a refund. This place is horrible, and hotels.com was of NO help either because they can't get a hold of them either and they are vouching for this place? What an incredibly awful and unprofessional way to do business! STAY AWAY. Not pleased with Hotels.com either or using them again.

Last spring I was visiting my grandaughter at Weslyan U. and wanted to be close. In this case close was not better. The room was beyond dirty. The dirt was so thick along the base boards I thought it was powder. The bed and the bedding was dirty with some sort of stains and blood, the bathroom still had dirt and hair on the floor, the shower was moldy, the couch had old food under the seats and trash was under the bed. I purchased my own cleaning products and cleaned the room and requested NEW bedding. The travel agency that booked the room wasn't much help. Along with all of that, the smoke detector had been removed and some residence from the back portion of the building kept cruzing by my window. I didn't feel safe at all. Seems like that hotel is used for other local activities.

I was picking up my daughter from the college and needed to spend the night somewhere, the property is very close to the college and offers a decent rate. BUT, all the good stuff ends right there! When I checked in a young lady in her 20's helped me and when I checked out a 10 year old was the one behind the security plexi-glass!

It was an OK room, I never turned on the TV so I didn't see the porn channel. The room was a little rough and had mix-match furnishings. Nothing seemed overly dirty but not top-notch for sure. It was in a rough area (all nearby convenience stores sell drug paraphernalia and porn dvds right over the counter), and I wasn't excited about my car being out in the parking lot at all.

I heard a lot of noise right outside my door at 2:30 am and when I looked out...well, it was a Pimp and two of his "girls!" After I closed my door, one of the girls came and knocked on my door. I said nothing and she walked off. Then, the pimp pounded on the door and in a loud voice proclaimed how "hard" his b^tches were! When I told him no thanks, the second girl took her turn knocking. Finally, they left and I eventually got some sleep.

Bottom line is you probably don't want to go to this place.

Pretty bad. The guy who checked us in mumbled and wasn't friendly. Room smells funny. Kind of creepy. Had trouble with TV - only showed porn. When we came back to the room in the afternoon, the staff had given us a new roll of toilet paper and replaced a couple towels but had not made up the beds. It's inexpensive but you get a lot less than you pay for. Will NEVER stay here again.

Room Tip: Just don't come here at all

I would rather sleep naked in the woods than every spend money at this motel again. After the hurricane, we were without power for several days. I decided to spend one night at a local motel so that we could charge up electronics/phones, and I could get some work completed online. This was the only local motel with an available room and free wifi. Here are a few highlights of my stay:

- It was dirty. From the linens to blankets to floor, under the bed was a real treat too. There were dust webs in the corners on the ceilings and on the lampshades.
- The floor was damp throughout the room. You couldn't walk barefoot or even in socks.
- There was a bad odor - I'm thinking mold.
- After only 1 night, my child had a headache.
- There is a lot of screaming and yelling outside amongst the local trash that apparently makes this motel their home.
- The air conditioner was dirty and burned our eyes. Unfortunately, this was the only way to drown out the noise of screaming, drunk/high neighbors, so we suffered through it.
- The bathroom looked clean on the surface, but there was evidence of black mold, even under their attempt to cover it up. The shower head was separating from the wall and there was no water pressure.
- There were stains on the chairs and little couch in the room. I don't even want to think about what from...
-The furniture was taped together with scotch tape.
-Apparently "free HBO" also means "free porn." This is always nice to learn when your 8 year old is flipping channels searching for cartoons.

Bottom line - we did not feel safe. I felt like the goings on outside were scary, but I was also afraid to turn off the lights inside the room, because I wanted to be able to see any bugs that decided to show themselves. I came home to a house with no power and opted to take a cold shower to cleanse myself of the experience at this motel.

Had to book a room last minute, and wish I had read the reviews here first. Place smelled terrible, some sort of air-freshener that overpowered the room. Normally I don't mind if furniture is a little old, but the chairs had disgusting stains on them. I did a lot of work on my computer, but did not sit on the chairs. Not sure when the bathroom was last deep-cleaned, because it was a mess as well. I didn't have time to switch to another hotel, so I just crossed my fingers and hoped that at least the sheets would be clean. The people who operate this place speak another language, which would be fine, but please use English when you're talking about my room while I stand there waiting for you to be done. Also, the deadbolt on the door has been disabled, which made me a bit nervous (as I was on the first floor), so I piled the chairs in front of the door. There is no reason I should have to do this. At least put a chain up! Especially since on the way in, I was following a car who had had their rear windshield completely bashed in! All in all, I will never stay here again and don't recommend it to anyone. Yea, it was cheap, but I would rather have paid more and actually felt safe and clean while sleeping.
