If you are anywhere near Lyman Orchards it is worth the stop! Beautiful family owned and operated orchards, corn maze in the fall and sunflower maze in the summer. We visited this time in the winter and it was still beautiful. The store serves up lunch and hot coffees and cider.

So much to pick and eat! blueberries, peaches, apples........but the sunflower maze was what made it all worth the travel here. Try the pie too! You will love it. Hope you like the sunflower pictures

Located just east of 91 in Middlefield Connecticut.

Should make the trip here every year

We bought a Lyman Orchard’s No-Sugar-Added 6” apple pie at Big-Y. The three of us thought it was so horrible that we tossed right into the garbage. The apple slices maintained their shape but inside they were a tasteless mush. (Frozen apples and microwave cooked?) No self-respecting baker would disgrace America’s favorite pie, like Lyman Orchard has.

Hi Heyoka J,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding the poor quality of the no-sugar added apple pie you purchased at Big Y. We apologize for disappointing you, and will be happy to refund you for your purchase. Please know that the apples we use are always fresh, and all our pies are baked in conventional ovens. Nevertheless, we trust that this was an isolated occurrence, and if you would email me at icorona@lymanorchards.com the location of the Big Y store where you purchased this pie, we will make their bakery manager and staff aware of this incident as well.

Again, please accept our apologies, and thank you for contacting us.

We went to the Lyman's corn-maze last Saturday and had a great time (maze open until 11/3). We've never been to a corn maze before and we had a great time wondering through the field, answering the questions, following the map. The mini fresh hot cinnamon donuts were fabulous. The store was jam packed so we didn't stay in there long and there were lines for the bathroom.

I have been coming to Lyman Orchards since my father used to take me as a kid. I am now almost 40 and still love coming to Lymans and go numerous times per year. Their pick your own is plentiful and the prices are great. We come every year to pick blueberries, peaches, pears, and apples. The blueberries are always plump and juicy and the peaches are the best i've ever had....bite into them and the juice runs out. Another benefit of the pick your own, is the great views. In the spring, the blossoms look so pretty...and in the fall, the foliage is outstanding...its worth a trip to see that alone. The Apple Barrel store has fruits, veggies, delicious home made desserts, and gourmet condiments. The prices are a bit steep, but its worth a stop in. There is also a huge duck pond outside where you can feed the ducks...cracked corn is sold inside for 99 cents. Fun for the whole family!
