The Hampton Inn hotel in Meriden Connecticut is a very nice, very clean hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and caring. The hotel is right of the main interstate and convenient to both Hartford and New Haven.
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
Breakfast Area terrible - NO ROOM!! Quality and presentation was substandard - no help in sight As usual the internet was as slow as a turtle If you like traffic noise than this is the place to stay, for all practical purposes you might just as well stay in the middle of the highway! save your money and aggravation and pick another spot to stay
This Inn was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was nothing great but hey it was free. The location was also great as it was half way between Hartford and New Haven and very close to the highway. All together I would say It was great value for the money. Overall I was very impressed.
This is a great hotel. We have stayed here several times this year, when we take our son to Wesleyan University or when we visit him there. The hotel is clean and convenient, and the staff is friendly, especially Dan at the front desk and Kim at breakfast. There is no swimming pool, but the exercise room is small but nice. The double rooms are a bit small if you have 4 in the room, but they are fine for 2 or 3 people. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Desk area is roomy. Towels are large and thick. We will continue to stay at this hotel whenever we make a trip to Wesleyan.
Clean. Good breakfast. Lousy work out center. Ask for a room on the East side of teh building. I-95 runs along the western side of the hotel and it is VERY noisy with traffic an dnoisy trucks all night long.
Hartford rates are quite high, but this location is close enough that the drive is worth the price difference. The close proximity to I-91 and Hartford is great. The rooms are clean, recently remodeled, and the breakfast area is roomy and clean. Great place for a value and the location is quiet.
