Excellent food and service. We were a group of six women. We get together about twice a month for lunch. We will be back soon.

Had a great Prime Rib dinner. Bar doesn't have much atmosphere, but nevertheless, good service and a great dinner Doesn't look like much from the outside but great steaks and seafood!

We actually came here for a rehearsal dinner and the staff, food, room and service were all excellent. We really enjoyed this place.

Sad as it is, Meriden does not have many real restaurants. There are plenty of Italian places and several Chinese, but no real restaurants. So Sans-Souci is the only game in town if you want a full meal that is not Italian or Chinese. As a result, most of the town's civic organizations go there--or have gone there--at one time or another.
The food is fine and consistent, but there is nothing exciting or unique offered. They make a decent drink and serve a decent steak. The service is friendly and competent. If you know what you are signing up for, you will not be disappointed, but keep those expectations in line.

Not only was Sans-Souci one of my favorite restaurant, but we had them cater our wedding. Well, went there last night and I am so disappointed that I will not be back. Waiter forgot to offer my dining partner their soup, so never served one that came with his dinner and never apologized. My lamb chops used to come in a natural au jus sauce, now they are dry and tasted off. We also ordered Chicken coq au vin. It has always been a favorite of mine with its delicious wine sauce. It now has a barbeque base and taste like a fast food restaurant. Only one desert out of the two we tried was still similar to the old standby but tasted store bought. We will not go back.
