This is the first time staying at the Grand Pequot and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was very clean and spacious. All of the staff was attentive and friendly. It was centrally located to all casinos and restaurants.

The Grand Pequot Tower is Foxwood Casino's flagship hotel, and our favorite place to stay on site. The original rooms, while generous in size and comfortable, were showing age. Even the suites were looking dated (during our last stay in our favorite, the 1400 sq. ft. corner suite, we noticed stains on the carpet, and tears in the upholstered chairs). We were pleasantly surprised, therefore, to learn that the hotel is being renovated, floor by floor. The new rooms are gorgeous, designed for this century (no more searching and stretching for outlets! they're built conveniently into the bedside drawers). We know the space has to be the same, square footage-wise, as the old rooms, but the renovated room somehow seems more spacious -- thanks to the smart design choice of getting rid of the huge wall hugging closet armoire that bookended the television (a very dated 80s look).

The bathroom has been updated with modern colors, and a black leather stool in front of the makeup mirror and convenient to the hair dryer. The tub, however, looks the same. Still a nice, oversized, deep-soak. Just not new, as far as we could tell.

If you're traveling with adults only, request a room near a casino floor elevator (it will take you right down to the slots or the table games in the Grand Pequot Casino).

Housekeeping crew is consistently friendly, never fails to greet us when we pass them in the hall.

One inconsistency: if you book online, Foxwoods adds a surcharge as of this writing for the updated rooms. If you go with a regular room, they try to tempt you into "upgrading" to a renovated room for an additional $$. They offer both renovated and non as comps to members on qualifying days, so why the hike in price for the paying customers? Our advice: book the regular room at the lower price, then request a complimentary upgrade to a renovated room at check-in. It's worked for us.

Overall, a beautiful hotel. If it's your first time, request a room on the high floor with a view of the woods. Stunning!

Room Tip: Request a renovated room on a high floor, with a view of the woods.

My boyfriend and I recently took a trip to Foxwoods for his birthday weekend. I had never been to the casino before, much less stayed at one of the hotels. My boyfriend on the other hand and been and had picked the Grand Pequot Tower out of the other hotels at Foxwoods due to their central location to all the happenings.
Without his knowing, I had called the Concierge at the Pequot to inquire as to some sort of surprise for his birthday waiting in the room when we arrived. They were very quick to respond with a phone call and a follow up email explain all the options I would be able to pick. I chose a 6" cheesecake, as well as the complimentary writing on the windows saying "Happy Birthday (name)".
As it turned out, it was 2 days before we were supposed to arrive at the hotel and Michael at the Concierge emailed me back saying the 6" may not be available but hot chocolate and marshmallows would be there and if no cake, then chocolate dipped strawberries. Also letting me know if they were able to obtain the cheesecake it would be a 10" one but still for the price of the 6". Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when my boyfriend and I walked into our hotel room and everything was just as it was supposed to be. The cheesecake was not a standard boring one, but had 2 chocolate signs on it saying Happy Birthday that looked like they were made out of metal. Plus, it was DELICIOUS.
The room itself was excellent, beautifully decorated and very well kept. The bathroom was gorgeous. There is a safe in the room that we used for our casino winnings (though not nearly as much as we hoped for!). As I mentioned before, the Grand Pequot is located right in the middle of all the happenings and a short walk to anything you would want to do. We returned to our room a few times to drop things off, or change clothes and it did not seem like a chore to do so.
All of the housekeeping staff that we passed in our travels to our room were friendly and offered a hello and a smile. We had absolutely no issues and will definitely hope to return for another stay soon! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Foxwoods.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 21st floor. It was a fairly foggy when we arrived, but on a clear day the view...

Grand Pequot is one of 4 hotel properties on the Foxwood campus - it is in the center of everything and seems like the largest of the 4. It is a great tower with everything one would need - the standard rooms are large and spacious -

I was originally put into a standard room with an inside view - nothing too special about the view, but the room was huge! Bathroom had a ton of space with a tub/shower combo. I then later on changed to a suite on a higher floor and it was well worth it! They are remodeling all of their room product and it is day and night. The new rooms are more modern and a much lighter/brighter feel.

The new room overlooked vast open forest behind the property, that is a million dollar view - upgrade to that if you can! Worth it! The hallways and elevator systems can get tricky, but you get used to it pretty fast.

When I was there they were doing some construction stuff, so during the week it did start in the AM and travel throughout the building - but the improvements coming are worth the noise.

The casino is huge and modern, all the casino buildings are connected so you never have to go outside. The walk to MGM is a good 10 minutes stroll though - actually thinking about it Two Trees was not connected, just a FYI.

There are a ton of restaurants on the property for all budgets, if you get the chance eat at David Burkes Prime Steakhouse - man that place was amazing! Cotton Candy at the end was just a great touch.

The staff throughout the property was really nice overall and the team was outgoing in the gambling area. There are a lot of hidden gems throughout the property - MGM is the most modern of the towers/casino's, Grand Pequot is becoming more modern but more relaxed now. Great Cedar was more old school and laid back - never made it to Two Trees because it was technically across the street.

Parking seemed easy, but valet was free so that worked. There is a resort fee here so be aware of that, but includes Internet for as many devices as you want - there are two small bottles of water in the room which was awesome - if you get a suite the mini fridge has extra waters and sodas for free :)

Housekeeping was so efficient - you saw their carts one minute and the next they were gone - very stealth mode and got the job done!

Foxwoods is in the middle of the "forest" so it is a drive, but also gives a nice sense of peace and quiet - you can tell the staff at the properties wants the guests to feel special and welcomed.

Splurge for a suite - at MGM and Grand Pequot they were all very nice and spacious and don't cost too much more.

Room service for breakfast was awesome and quick - the fruit parfait was awesome!

Overall a great stay! Would go again and again!

Room Tip: High floor rooms overlooking the forest area are worth every dollar.

I've stayed in this hotel a couple of times and always find the rooms well appointed, clean and comfortable. Because this is a casino resort you have to deal with smoking and you aren't guaranteed a non-smoking room, but the staff accomodates as best they can. I have never had an issue with geting a non-smoking room.

I have stayed at the Foxwoods resort in the past having stayed at the Two trees Inn,Great Cedars, and the MGM, and by far the Grand Pequot is the best in my view.
The hotel rooms have been recentlly renovated, and they are quite nice and comfortable.
The valet car service was prompt, the front desk staff were very professional and courteous, and the wait time was not a problem. As with the other hotels mentioned, it was always an issue checking in.
(past check in wait times 45 minutes)
(valet car service backed up)
This hotel is by far the most convienient to the casino, restaraunts and lounges.
The room that we stayed in (# 1740) had fantastic views, as well as comfortable bed, and spacious layout.
The casino has plenty of table games and slots to choose from.
Its a clean and well organized resort, and I would certainly return to the Grand Pequot in the future.
All in all, a positive stay!!

Room Tip: High floors so you can enjoy the views
