“Lots to see, and lots of places to spend money”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

It's a casino. So there are loud, smokey rooms with slot machines everywhere. The good news is that there are some great places to eat and they have good shows at the theater.

“Fun while it lasted!”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

Though my husband did fairly well at the Foxwoods Casinos, I did not. Staying for the three day visit was painful, as my allotted money went very quickly. I spent much more time in my room than anticipated.

“Great day away”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

We did the package deal from Port Jefferson to Foxwoods for $37 PP which gives you $15 in slot money + $10 towards a meal at one of their restaurants or the buffet for free. The bus package is available 4 days a week on the 9:00 ferry going and the 7:30 ferry for your return.

Although, it's quite a distance with 2.5 hours of travel for each direction, it's a great day trip. The place is huge, clean and well run. There's an non-smoking room which is a bonus to those that avoid casinos because of that. The buffet is not only plentiful but the food is actually quite good.

I look forward to returning to this area so we're able to take advantage of this amazing bargain again.

“not very good”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

This place was awful. Was on a bus tour and the casino acted as if they wanted nothing to do with us. Is our money no good? Drivers were given meal tickets but had to park the buses an hours walk away. So those two guys didnt get to eat or gamble.
