“Good pizza big calzones good food”
Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

We use this as our go to place for take out pizza as well as casual dinners. There is a bar area with TVs. It is owned by a local family with Greek background and it shows on the menu. The food is very good. The portions are big, teenage boys have been known to barely finish a calzone. They changed the outside and the decor is casual but relaxing.it is close to UConn. Locals as well as student families are welcomed. We love the pizza.

“Healthy sized servings....”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

After moving my Daughter in her apartment all afternoon without having lunch, the huge portion of whole bellied clams, fries, cole slaw, and salad hit the spot. Noone else was able to finish their meals, so 3 doggie boxes went home with us. The 5pm 6/10/13 Monday afternoon patronage was quiet, but there were many TV's all over the place, and the Italian themed ambiance was festive. The food was presented well, and in huge proportion. Katie was attentive and pleasant and had a confident understanding of the menu and the entire process. They must thrive during the school year, and we will return for more again...

“Not too shabby”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

It seems like this place had been re-done in the last years; I recall I had been in many years ago and felt like it was just another pizza parlor, and not so good a one at that.

We tried it mid September for the first time since; we liked it
We've been here nearly once a week over the last two months for dinner.
It's close by, and have not had any disappointments.

The place is reasonably quiet and booths are comfortable
The food is honest and good and is just more imaginative and well-thought out than what you might find in some of the other local pizza restaurants who might also offer a general menu.
So - no soggy, water-logged, mushy pastas swimming in diluted, pizza-flavored pizza sauce
(Red sauce for pizza and red sauce for pasta simply are not the same sauce - or should not be)
Burgers looked great, though we have not had them, grinders and wraps are on the menu and are not slapped together.
The pizza we did try was not bad at all; it is Greek style, not Neapolitan (thin crust), nor Sicilian (thick crust).

A Greek combo dish is great; salads are quite large with lots of leaf, - not just the ribs

The wait staff are friendly.

The place seems to be trying hard to be more than just a pizza 'joint'; it's welcomed, its' needed, they are certainly on the right track. Try'em

To correct - fruit flies roaming the dining areas - which just is a seasonal problem; some diners make amazing messes on the floor around their tables and the staff don't get to clean up as fast as they woudl like; and finally, we had to send our wine glasses back - they were too clouded with water spots...

“Given way too many chances and always disappointed”
Reviewed May 21, 2012

We end up calling there out of convenience even though we know better. There is always something wrong the order and as far as taste, it's most often marginal to horrble.

Tonight was an all time low. We ordered two burgers...How can you screw up a burger? Not a busy night, Well, the only thing they got right was the "No onion on either". One was a "Blue cheese Burger (medium) w/ sweet potato fries the other was a Pepperjack Burger (medium) with waffle fries. We got....two burgers that were both wrong..no blue cheese...no pepper jack burger...cooked well done...wrong fries on one.

Don't bother ordering soup. It is all AWFUL. French Onion is like putting yoru spoon in a sugar bowl. Others are just loaded with garlic when it's a soup you'd never expect or want garlic in.

Panini Sandwiches...Not your usual panini. Dried up crunchy toasted sandwich. They found a George Forman grill and decided to put it to use.

Salads...mounds of shredded carrots. Blue cheese dressing is not blue cheese.

We got nachos once with cocktail sauce instead of salsa. There's a blast to you tastebuds.

Pasta dishes all taste the same and are swimming in oil.

Menu is far too extensive for that kitchen of amatuers to handle.

I could continue but I'm sure theres a character limit here.

“Great Variety of Food”
Reviewed January 6, 2012

This is a great place to go to make sure everyone gets what they like. The burgers are good, the salads and my favorite is Rhode Island Calamari!
