We stayed at the Scranton Seahorse Inn while attending a wedding in the area...on the hottest weekend of the summer. What a refreshing find the Inn turned out to be! Michael and Olive were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our visit. The Inn is very charming with many ammenities, including the use of a refrigerator, as well as coffee and tea available at all times. Wonderful breakfast scents began to waft upstairs in the morning, leading us to a delicious and varied meal both mornings. The Inn is in a perfect location to explore the seaside town of Madison and is just a short walk to the beach via a beautiful residential road. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided by the Inn. We also enjoyed an excellent dinner in an upbeat cafe (Elizabeth's) just across the street.
This is a special place...thank you!

Cudo's to Michael and his staff for another great stay! I stayed in the Seaside Garden room and it was lovely. Olive welcomed me in and helped me get settled. I enjoyed dinner across the street at Elizabeths Cafe (a MUST when in Madison) and strolled back to the Inn. My room had all the comforts of home, plus Michael's delicious breakfast in the morning. He picked fresh summer squash and basil from his garden and created a fabulous omelet. Can't wait to get back to the CT coast.

My wife and I took a day away from all the hustle and bustle of NYC and found the Scranton Sea Horse Inn. What a find tucked away in a beautiful little countryside village. Our room was an adorable, unusually shaped bedroom that had a sitting area, an in room jacuzzzi tub, great bathrobes and a real homey feel to it.

Breakfast was wonderful and there was a great lobster/clam fish shack nearby that we visited twice within a stone's throw of the hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay!

First-rate breakfast, best we've ever had at a B&B. Spacious room included a jacuzzi tub room and a desk alcove. In quiet, wholesome town with good walks, good shops, and good places to eat. Close to the shore.

The Scranton Seahorse Inn more than met our expectations. The B&B has an overwhelming sense of peace, with a fantastic but not over-powering New England flavour: the rooms were delightfully welcoming and clean with fantastic old-fashioned features but great modern touches. We went in the off season for our two day "mini-moon" following our Manhattan wedding, and Michael made arrangements for us to get into our room and feel welcome despite being delayed incredibly in a terrible rainstorm. We were met by a beautifully appointed room with jacuzzi bath, porch access, plenty of space, and a log ready to light in the working fire. The bed was comfortable and a little bag of info on the area, a note letting us know about our pre-arranged spa appointment in nearby Guilford (made through the Seahorse) and breakfast times sat on it when we arrived. There is a masseur in the hotel as well: a real surprise and a treat!

The breakfast at The Seahorse is included, delicious and fresh, and if you need a mug of tea and a video on a stormy day not fit for sight-seeing in the historic area (or beach-going if it's that time of year) the thoughtful innkeepers have provided a little room with drinks and video-library for you to cosy up with in your room (each has a DVD player)...that is if you don't want to play monopoly or read in the communal spaces which are gorgeous, and smell wonderful.

In short: if you don't fall in love with the Seahorse you probably need a little more romance in your soul.

Michael took care of our every need and I was staying with a group of nine girls. He is an excellent chef and our meals were quality and delicious!!! I especially enjoyed visits from his two dogs, Theo and Cash, the visits were upon our request!!! I stayed in room 7, with a extremely comfortable bed and rain shower jacuzzi tub!!! I can't wait to go back!!! Thank you Michael!!!!
PS Michael set up a massage for me on Saturday with Bob and it was so healing, I requested a second massage for Sunday morning. Bob is excellent at what he does and he is really in tuned to his craft. You can't find that often. Thank you Bob!!

The Scranton Seahorse Inn was perfect for our romantic getaway! This quaint bed and breakfast is conveniently located close to the highway set back on a charming New England street – filled with restaurants and amenities. Entering the inn we were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable, cozy feel set by the décor and friendly innkeepers – a home away from home. Our room, Long Island Mist, was clean and adorable with its own unique design. A perfect fit for a romantic stay with its own private bathroom and rain showerhead. The bed was the coziest part of all – clean, fresh, and fluffy! We enjoyed a deliciously fresh breakfast cooked and presented by the innkeeper, Michael. Upstairs there is a room with fresh coffee, treats, and mini fridge available at all hours. There is also a selection of movies since each room has a TV/DVD player (and internet). There is available parking, although with limited spaces. Overall, this is the best inn we’ve been to – comfortable, cozy, charming, and clean!
