Our stay at the Madison Beach Hotel was pure bliss. A staff member greeted you in the parking lot, brought your bags to check-in, stayed with you, then proceeded to bring the bags up to your room. We were then given a tour of the room and instructions on working the electronics, etc.
All members of the staff were extremely friendly both in the hotel and their restaurant. The food at the restaurant was delicious and well presented. You may have breakfast, lunch, and dinner there. Also, you have a choice of eating inside, (where they have a charming fireplace lit at night), or outside on a porch overlooking the water.
Our room had a balcony overlooking the beach, where we were able to watch the sunset and also the beautiful colored sky of the sunrise. We can't wait to go back. There is also some shopping nearby, which we took advantage of.
Special thanks to Bruce and the wonderful parking attendants who were always so happy to answer any of our questions and direct us to area attractions.
This hotel is definitely a winner!

Travelled the world. Kept asking myself, "Am I really in Madison, CT?" First class facility thru and thru. and the food - three toques. Clams and oysters, fresh. Tuna tartare w/ avocado, fresh. duck, tender and fragrant. swordfish, succulent. I hope the Pastry Chef is well paid. Someone is going to catch her. Creme brule? better than Paris? Is it possible?

The help gets a bit stretched when they get busy; and they do get busy. Go early. my one lament, my espresso came w/o an espresso spoon!

Absolutely beautiful, fabulous Sunday Brunch, incredibly fresh food, beautiful presentation, genuinely friendly staff and overall superb! Will be stopping in for lunch/dinner/snacks very often. Very nice spa, and animal friendly! Get a facial for puppy! ;)

My husband and I were delighted. SUCH a great location, wonderful staff -- and a bar and dining room that you love being in, not to mention the fine, really comfortable rooms. This is a new staff and new kitchen and while it can be a little slow, everyone seems genuinely eager to please and it's so nice to just be in such attractive settings with the water always to the front. This is a really good place. I highly, highly recommend it for getaways from all things stressful. My only caveat is that I'd be careful about music nights-- there was an amateur singer the night we were there-- it would have been better to hear the sound of the water.

Room Tip: All of these rooms seem to have lovely views. Ours was spectacular.

My husband and I wanted to get away but not too far from home. Typically I don't think it is worth it to stay overnight in a hotel that is close to where you live. I think you have to travel far and frankly I haven't found a place close by that warranted a quick getaway - that is until I found Madison Beach Hotel. From the moment you walk in the service is impeccable, the room and view outstanding, the bed linens luxurious, and the beach relaxing. We felt like we were vacationing somewhere other than Madison, CT - 40 minutes from where we live. The staff bends over backwards to accommodate every need or request. We did hear that service in the restaurant was extremely slow - but we did not find that at all. We talked to a number of guests on the beach and oddly enough they were all from CT - and were looking for a quick getaway. They too were pleasantly surprised by the experience at Madison Beach. As I was leaving, I told the lovely woman at the front desk that Madison Beach Hotel is my new favorite place.

Room Tip: Every room faces the water - I don't think there's a bad room in the house.

First, we saved the cost of our AAA annual fee by having that card with us! Like another traveler, we were looking for a lovely lunch by the water - fresh lobster roll and a cool glass of crisp white wine. Sitting on the outside back deck and watching the water, the families play on the beach, the tide pools, the small boats bobbing in the next-door harbor, were all perfect. Our service was also excellent. When we saw a stage being set up on the lawn below us, we inquired and were told that "the Fixx" was playing that evening - a British 80's band - so we asked our server to inquire about room availability. From the moment we checked in we were treated like royalty. The room was expensive but that AAA membership knocked over $80 off the price for a night! Our king-size bed faced the water and, from our huge third-floor balcony, we could see all the way across Long Island Sound to New York. It was perfect for watching the band, feeling like we had our own private concert. That huge bath in the bathroom had its own window above it so we could listen to the sound of the waves breaking while relaxing in the water. The shower was also huge, and both had great water pressure so the bath filled quickly. Lovely appointments such as super big towels, bath salts, lotions and soaps.

The doors to the balcony were also ideal - French doors that opened outward and floor-to-ceiling shuttered doors that slid sideways to open. You could leave the main doors open all night and the windows wide open to catch the sound of the waves or an ocean breeze, while still maintaining privacy with those shutter doors. Very smart.

We suggested, upon leaving, that they add coasters to the room. Our room had a mini fridge and there was an electric fireplace one one end, with a big wing chair and nice mantel. The mantelpiece had a few stains from people leaving their beverages there - too bad. But this would be a very cozy place in the winter in a storm. The balcony doors were double thick panes of glass and shut out the noise outside when we wanted them to do so, very effectively. I would love to be there with the wind and the rain pounding against the glass, while we sat inside with a cozy fire and a glass of wine.

You can certainly do that and more at this lovely hotel. Highly , highly recommended for a special treat.

A new GEM! Fabulous resort and restaurant!

The Madison Beach Resort and Wharf restaurant are fabulous! I found each and every staff member to have a smile, a pleasing comment, and devoted to service. The food is so delicious! Drinks are amazing! Just got back from the Sunday brunch with friends, and I have only good comments. The selections were unsurpassed! The food quality was superb! The views onto Long Island Sound cannot be beat! Great new addition to the shoreline!

I wet for drinks and appetizers one evening and found the bartender and servers to be especially helpful and the drinKs were exceptional!

The desserts were presented well and nicely sized well so that you could sample many. The peach cobbler, chocolate cover pineapple, and trifle were my favorites!
The omelet station was stocked with the freshest of seasonal goodies to add to the sensational eggs!

They are doing everything right!

All is all 5 stars! Do not miss this extraordinary new spot in the world!

Room Tip: You definitely want a water view!
