Visiting the area from VT and had planned on going to the East Side in New Britain for dinner. But got put off by reviews complaining about the $32 dollar meals with low quality appetizers as the only ‘included ‘ choice. So we came here instead and were so glad we did.
They have a fairly traditional Italian restaurant menu but also offer chicken or veal with 8 or 9 different preparations. Meals include great bread with a garlicy olive oil and chopped scallions, and your choice of soup or salad. My chicken escarole soup was delicious and my husband’s salad was fresh and appealing. Portions are generous, we both went out with leftovers. The sauce on the pasta sides was great. Good wine list, too. Our server was professional and efficient. Ample off street parking. We get to CT occasionally and will definitely go here again.
