“Small theater”
Reviewed April 19, 2012

Productions range from new plays to revivals of standards. I have subscribed for five years and have enjoyed the majority of the plays. Although seats are not assigned (unless you pay an extra fee) virtually every seat allows you to see and hear everything on stage. In summary, a totally enjoyable theater experience.

“Outstanding productions, but seating choices a benefit and a curse!”
Reviewed March 1, 2012

As a subscriber for many years, I commend TheatreWorks on its first rate, right-off-of-Broadway productions. However, be prepared for a hardcore sales pitch at the beginning of each & every production...all season long. Incredibly annoying!! In addition, one of the benefits (and curses) for the theater is its seating policy. The joy is that there are no assigned seats (unless you wish to pay an additional $10/ea.) Therefore, you can call an reserve a "spot" for any time during the production's run, but you must arrive as soon as the doors open in order to grab a seat that hasn't been reserved by others who have paid the additional "reserved" fee. I guess this is the price you pay for flexibility. Thank heavens that the productions have been so outstanding, otherwise my subscription would be history as I'm tired of sitting around for an hour to get a semi-decent seat.

“Nice Variety of Plays”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

This is a small theater so no matter how far back you are seated you are still pretty close. Some of the seats on the sides have a little bit of a limited view. Anyhow I like the variety of plays at the theatre and I would recommend a subscription to anyone who enjoys the arts.
