I have visited the Wadsworth Atheneum time and time again -- for it's traditional collection and its contemporary exhibits. It is one of the best museums in the country -- a jewel in a little visited city

The Atheneum has one of America's greatest art collections and one of the least well known. Don't miss seeing this museum.

Every time I return to the Wadsworth Anthenem, I am charmed by the experience. The collection, although small, has some real gems. And I LOVE the gift shop.

Modern to old European classics. Enough to see for two days if you want. There is street parking and a lot in the rear, with an entrance there too.
